Zander Mueth is a 2023 RHP/3B with a 6-6 190 lb. frame from Swansea, IL who attends Belleville East. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Right-handed pitcher, quick turn at start of delivery, controls delivery well and maintains good direction down the mound; loose and fast arm action through the backside working to a mid/low three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 95 mph and velocity comes easy, shows hard and late running life to the year at times, best life at lower end of velocity band. Changeup is a true potential swing and miss offering up to 85 mph with low spin and excellent feel, has feel for landing the zone. Slider up to 80 mph, occasionally gets around the pitch at times from a lower slot but generates late sweeping depth through the zone. Big stuff across the board with projection. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to Mississippi. Named to the 2022 Perfect Game All-American Classic.
