Czech Baseball Academy 15u defeated the KMC Ambassadors in the first game of the European Classic event at City Baseball Stadium in Brno, Czech Republic. The Czech Academy got off to hot start with the bats led by Ondrej Koukal, who was 2 for 3 on the day and scoring 2 runs. The KMC Ambassadors, Ronin Sherman who was also 2 for 3 on the day as well.
12u-Game #1
Czech Baseball Academy came through with a victory after a close match up against the South Moravia Little League squad. It was clutch hitting by Hugo Pejchar and Jakub Winkler for Czech Baseball to drive in 2 runs a piece. Filip Votava threw very well on the mound for Czech Baseball only giving up one run and striking out 4 after 2 and thirds innings of work. Jan Hrabec had 2 hits for South Moravia Little League.

15u-Game #2
In the second game of pool play, the 15u Czech National Team combined for 8 runs on 10 hits , pulling out a victory against Prague Academy. Nicolas ORourke and Michal Anton both slugged 2 hits each with 4 runs scored. O’Rourke also hurled 3 innings, 2ks and only giving up 1 run. Prague Academy was led by Marek Slaby , which had 2 knocks in the outing.
12u-Game #2
The Czech National 12u team was very impressive in their first game of the tournament with a lopsided victory over the Regensburg Academy team. The Czech squad belted 2 home runs in the game with Benjamin ORourke, Jan Kozel, and Vojtech Ventruba all adding 3 RBI’s each. Regensburg Academy was led by Tim Danner and Domenic Rauwolf, who each had hits in the game.

15u-Game #3
In the 3rd matchup of the day, the Europe All Stars defeated the All Star Eastern Europe 15u squad. The Europe All Stars crossed 6 runs in the first. It was an all around effort by the Europe All stars who combined for 10 runs on 7 hits. Europe All Stars starting pitcher Sebastian Prikryl shined on the mound, tossing 4 innings with 7 strikeouts and not allowing a hit in the outing. Sebastian hammered the zone topping out at 74 with the fastball and flashed a curve ball that kept hitters off balance.
12u-Game #3
It was a nail biter matchup between the Austrian Baseball Academy and the Hrosi Brno squads. Both teams battled all game and at the end of 6 innings, the Hrosi Brno came out victorious. Hrosi Bruno was led by Viktor Beranek and Patrik Fiala who each had 2 hits a piece. Michal Pokorny ripped a double and Dan Krska followed up with a long triple and 2 RBIs. Vaclav Dvorak and Michal Pokorny both had strong outings on the mound for Hrosi, tossing 5 2/3rds inning with 3ks and 2 earned runs. Austrian Baseball Academy has 7 players who all had hits in the game. Elias Kreska was 2 for 3 on the day for Austria.

15u-Game #4
In the final game of the first day , the KMC Ambassadors and the Prague Academy where in a pitching duel early on. KMC Ambassadors, Miles Murphy pitches 3 2/3rds innings giving up only 2 hits and striking out 3. Ronin Sherman tossed an inning, working a FB velo up to 77 and flashing a CB at 65 . Christopher Guzaldo came in the last to shut it down and topped out at 76 with the fastball. Guzaldo, Sherman and Ethan Smith each had multiple hits in the game and combining for 7 RBI'S. Prague Academy did not go down without a fight. Petr Vojta and Jan Uhlir each had a double and an RBI in the game. Jan Konrad pitched very well for the Prague Academy , throwing 4 innings w/ 5ks , 1 hit and 1 run. Konrad topped out with an 80mph FB velo and flashed a 66 curveball
12u-Game #4
In the final matchup of the day, South Moravia Little League cruised to a victory over Regensburg Academy. Both teams came out swinging with a combined run total of 10 in the first inning. From then on, the South Maravia team chipped away each inning. Jan Urbanek of South Maravia stood out at the plate, slugging 4 doubles , 5 RBI’s and 2 runs scored. Regensburg Academy 12u was led by Daniel Taiber and Max Brandl who each had 2 hits in the contest. Brandl and Jakob Huber added 2 rbi’s each .

15u- Game #5
Prague Academy took on All Star Eastern Europe in the first match up of Day 2. Both teams got off to a hot start scoring 2 runs in the first. For Prague Academy, Jan Uhlik and Matej Hosna led the way with 2 RBI’s a piece. Martin Jiranek took the bump for Prague Academy and had a strong showing through 4 IP, 5ks and topped out with a FB at 74 mph. All Star Eastern Europe would keep it close for a few innings. Ignas Pauliukevicius recorded 2 hits, 1 double and scored a run. Arseni Yurkovski also added a hit for the All Star Eastern Europe squad. Prague Academy would extend their lead throughout the game to grab the win.
12u- Game #5
In the first matchup of the day, South Moravia Little League would strike first against the Austrian Baseball Academy and did not look back. South Moravia slugged their way to a victory led by Adam Vesely and Pavel Jozek who each had 3 hits a piece, combining for 2 doubles, 3 Triples, 7 RBI’s and 6 Runs Scored. Benedikt Ruzicka, Dohnal Ladislav, ad Filip Kollman would also add in 2 hits a piece. The Austrian Baseball Academy’s lone hit came from Lisa Riedl, who ripped a double that plated 2 runs.

Europe All Star scored 8 runs in the first inning against the Czech National Team and would cruise to a victory to stay undefeated. The Europe All Stars were led by David Mergans, who recorded a hit, 2 runs and a RBI on the day. Mergens also stood out on the mound as he hurled 4 innings strong, with 2 Ks, and 2 runs, all while not giving up a hit.
12u- Game # 6
The Czech National team would take down Hrosi Brno in the second game of the day. The Czech National 12u squad made a combined team effort of 12 hits and a whopping 17 runs. Filip Kubicek, Jan Fejt, Jaroslav Moravec would record 2 hits a piece. Stepan Paulik and Katerina Kucharikova dazzled on the mound with 4 IP , 1 Hit, 1 Run , 3Ks and only 1 walk. Hrosi Bruno’s Jonas Werner would rip a Double in the game.

In the 3rd game of the day, the KMC Ambassadors from Germany would defeat the All Star Eastern Europe All stars. It was tight matchup through 3 innings until the bats came alive for the KMC Ambassadors. Christopher Guzaldo had 4 hits, including a pair of 3 baggers while Ethan Smith also recorded 4 hits. Ronin Sherman, Kaleb Bellew, combined for a total of 6 hits, 5 runs and 5 RBI’s. All Star Eastern Europe were led by Arseni Yurkovski who had 2 hits and 2 runs. Dravys Cernauskas, Titas Vaitkevicius, and Audrios Rascius also recorded hits in the game.

Austrian Baseball Academy matched up against the Regensberg Academy (Germany) in the 3rd game of the day. A lot of action happened in the first inning as Regensburg came out hot and scored 3 runs in the top of the 1st. Austrian Baseball Academy would answer in the bottom of the 1st and add 4 runs to the score board. It would be the same way through the second inning. The Austrian team would pull away, adding runs each inning, and would put one in the win column . Austria had 8 players with knocks in the game. Elias Kreska and Lennard Halper both had a pair of RBI’s in the game. Jonas Kreska pitched very will in 1 2/3rds of work, striking out 4. Regensburg Academy was led by Jakob Huber, who had 2 hits, a double and 3 Rbis.

The final game of the day would not disappoint between the Czech National Team and the Czech Baseball Academy. Czech Baseball Academy got off to an early lead and would plate 1 run in the first. Each team would threaten for more, but defensive play and pitching were sharp for both sqauds. It wasn’t until the 6th inning, that the Czech National team would strike with a run of their own. Michal Zelenka would drive in a run in the bottom of the 6th for the Czech National team to tie it up. Both teams pitchers worked efficiently throughout the game as Tadeas Kalcev threw 5 strong , with 2ks for the Czech National Team. For the Czech Baseball Academy, Lukas Smejkal and Ondrej Filip would combine for 7 IP, 8ks and 6 hits. The matchup would eventually end in a tie.
12u- Game #8
The Czech Baseball Academy and the Czech National Team would square off in the final contest of the day. Czech Baseball Academy led by hitters Matous Bubenik and Filip Votava would score first and go up 5 runs through 3 innings. Czech National Team answered in the bottom of the 4th and 5th scoring 3 runs in each led by Vojtech Ventruba, Benjamin ORourke and Mikulas Soldan. It came down to the bottom of the 6th inning as the Czech Baseball Academy would lead by three. Czech National made a final push scoring two runs in the bottom half, but came up short. After a well played game by both teams, Czech Baseball Academy would put one in the win column.

The undefeated Europe All Stars would play their first game against the KMC Ambassadors to start the day. Europe All Star would strike first in the top of the 1st as KMC would come back to match that in the bottom half. Dalton Ketema and and Markus Racik would drive in runs for the Eurupe All Star while Matej Rudohradsky added a double and scored a run. KMC Ambassadors would extend their lead in the bottom of the 5th as the bats woke up for Christopher Guzaldo, Ronin Sherman, Calvin Delp and 7 more players added hits in the game. Calvin Delp smoked a triple and added 4 RBI’s to help capture the win and advance KMC to the championship game.
12u- Game #9
In the first game of the day, Czech National 12u team would defeat the Austrian Baseball Academy. Czech National got off to an early lead in the bottom half of the 2nd. Czech National had an all around effort as 10 players recorded hits and Vojtech Sabacky and Benjamin ORourke each added 2 RBI’s a piece. Jan Fejt, Max Lukes and Adrian Muck combined for 5 IP, 7ks, 4 Hits and only 1 walk on the bump for the Czech National Squad. Austrian Baseball Academy’s Markus Trimmel would rip a double in the game.

In the first game of a double header for Czech Baseball Academy, they went on to defeat the Prague Academy in 7 innings. Czech Baseball Academy’s pitching staff was led by Dominik Polgar who went 5 strong with 2ks, 0 runs and only giving up 3 hits. Botis Vecerka came in to toss the final 2 innings with 4ks and a FB that touched 75 to complete the shut out. David Bauer, Adam Prudil and Ondrej Filip add ed 2 hits a piece for the Czech Baseball Academy. Prague Academy’s Michal Kovala added a pair of hits. Czech Baseball Academy would look to stay undefeated entering into their 2nd game of the double header.
12u- Game #10
In the second game of the day, Czech Baseball Academy 12u would take down Regensburg Academy to stay undefeated to make a run for the Championship game. Czech Baseball Academy’s Vincent Major, Filip Votava, and Vojtech Prokop each had doubles in the game and Jakub Winkler and Votova would drive in 2 runs each. Jiri Grossmann was lights out on the mound as he hurled a 5 inning no hit shutout with 5 ks.

The Czech National 15u squad would score 8 runs in the bottom of the first to cap a victory against the All Star Eastern Europe team. Matyas Nemcansky had a day at the plate as he recorded 3 hits, 1 double and 2 RBI’s and Michal Malat and Michal Zelenka added 3 RBI’s each for the Czech National Team . For the All Star Eastern European squad 6 players had a hits in the game.
12u- Game #12
It was a battle from the first pitch as Hrosi Brno took on South Moravia Little League in a tight matchup. South Moravia would strike first and plate a run in the 1st and 2nd inning. Hrosi Brno would answer in the top half of the 4th inning to take a 8-6 lead. In walk off fashion, South Moravia would plate 3 in the bottom of the 6th to seal the victory. Jan Klee would be the player to cap it off with a sac fly to end it. South Moravia was led by Adam Vesely with 4 hits , 3 of them triples, and 3 RBI’s. Hrosi Brno’s Jonas Werner has 3 hits in the contest, while Filip Fukar and Michal Pokorny drove in a combined 6 runs.

Heading into the last game of the day, the Europe All star and Czech Baseball Academy 15u teams were both looking for a victory as the winner would advance to the Championship game. Europe All Star would take a 6-0 lead in the top half of the 2nd. Czech Baseball Academy would chip away each inning to make it 6- 2 heading into the bottom of the 5th, when they would gain the lead scoring 5 runs. It was an strong pitching performance by Adam Prudil, who battled through 7 innings of work and would toss a complete game. The Europe All Star team was led by Paris Kevin Ketema, Simon Nagel, and David Mergans who each had 2 hits in the game. Paris and Dalton Ketema pitched very well and topped out with fastballs at 77mph.
12u- Game #11
In the final contest of the day, Czech Baseball Academy would solidify their spot in the championship game with a win over Hrosi Brno. Czech Baseball Academy would score early and often. Jiri Grossmann smashed a Home run and a triple that would plate 5 runs. Simon Klacl and Filip Votava would add triples of their own. Vincent Major pitched 3 strong innings and had 2 ks. Hrosi Brno’s Filip Fukar and Martin Hvezda each had a hit.
