FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Fort Myers will be host of the 17th annual 18U BCS National Championship throughout this week.

With 26 teams from across the United States competing for one crown, the six-day tournament will be filled with the best upperclassmen in the nation.

Half of the field will kick things off first thing Monday morning, with seven games starting as early as 8:00 am.

One of the teams included in the early start is Clowns National, who will be a team to watch not only Monday morning, but throughout the entire tournament. The ball club will make their way from the other coast of West Palm Beach, Florida and are coming off a strong showing at the BCS National Championship Qualifier earlier this month, where they finished with a 3-1 record.

With a roster filled with talent, including shortstops Marek Houstan and Eddie Boe Rodriguez and first baseman Blaydon Plain, their first game against Arsenal, which includes Xavier pledge Donovan Canterberry, will be a great start to the week.

Another team to look out for will be Chi Team Crown, who’s making a cross country trip from Glencoe, Illinois, and not wanting to leave without some hardware. After a 10-1 record in the WWBA 18U National Championship, with their one loss coming in the championship game, Cream will be looking to add onto their already-impressive resume.

With a deep roster including uncommitted top-300 player Christian Oppor, third baseman Connor Fosnow, and outfielder Raoul Fabian, a Long Beach State commit, Chi Town Cream will be looking to improve on their 16-1 record in 2022.

Other notable players to look out for include No. 95 player Nolan Schubart, future USF Bull Stewart Puckett, who will be playing for NEB National this week, and Western Kentucky commit Lukas Farris, suiting up for East Cobb Astros 18u Navy.

There will be high-level baseball played at numerous ballparks in Fort Myers this week, which should make for a great week for competition.
