Jose Doubront (2026, Greenville, SC) swung the stick well for the Atlanta Braves Scout Team 16U in their matchup versus the Virginia Blaze. The 6-foot, 200-pound, third basemen was a powerhouse at the plate. He has developed frame, filled out, and he is extremely projectible. He bats with slightly open stance, slightly bent knees, bat slot near the ear, with a slight leg lift. He has obvious power upside within himself and can consistently square baseballs up. Produces loud contact off the bat and you can tell he got every stitch of the baseball. In this performance Jose went 2-for-3 including a double stung in the gap, a single, 1 SB, 1 BB, and 1 run.
