Hagedorn homers in win

Nick Hagedorn (2017, Smith-Cotton, MO) homered for Southern California Bombers 2017 in their 9-1 win over Team Avenue Aces.  Marc Gonzalez (2017, Vista Murrieta, CA) pitched in with two hits including a triple and two RBI's. Zachary Pettway (2017, Long Beach Wilson, CA) drove in two runs with a double. 

Hayden Brown (2018, Buckeye Union, AZ) had two singles for the Aces. 

Bulldog Survives CrabFest 5-3

The CBA Bulldog 2016 put up four runs in the third inning but had to sweat out an extended rally from the CrabFest All Americans before escaping with a 5-3 win despite three errors to one for CrabFest. The Bulldog offense knocked in seven hits from five different players with Tony Garcia (2016, Rancho Cucamonga HS, CA) leading the way offensively. Garcia finished with a 2-3 game at the plate with an RBI.

Christopher Takayoshi (2016, Glendora HS, CA) picked up the win for the Bulldog for his three innings on the mound. Takayoshi allowed two hits and two runs, one earned, while walking three and striking out four with a fastball averaging 68 mph and topping out at 71 mph. 

Aggies and So Cal tie

Neither Aggies Baseball or So Cal Elite could pull away so they ended up a tie 4-4. Manny Molina (2016, Cibola, CA) led Aggies with two singles and an RBI.  Sebastian Perez (2016, Moon Valley, CA) went 2 for 3 and came around to score twice. Juan Cardenas (2016, San Luis, AZ) doubled in a run.  Mikael Bracamonte (2017, Nogales, AZ) threw three innings. He struck out five while allowing a hit. 

Bryant Serraro (2017, Damien, CA) led So Cal with two singles.  Jordan James (2017, Alta Loma, CA) pitched in with two singles and an RBI. 

Turn 2 Escapes with 6-2 Win

Turn 2 Baseball pulled out a win over Arizona RBI 6-2 thanks to a late three-run burst in the sixth inning. Both teams knocked in only four hits as Nicholas Medina (2015, John F. Kennedy HS, CA) turned his single into a 1-2 game at the plate with two RBIs and a walk while being one of five pitchers to take the mound, allowing two hits and one earned run on 13 pitches in one inning while walking none, striking out none, and logging strikes on 70 percent of his pitches.

Jacob Hord (2016, American HS, CA) picked up the win for Turn 2 for his three innings on the mound. Hord allowed two hits and one earned run on 49 pitches while walking two and striking out six with a fastball averaging 79 mph and topping out at 81 mph. 

Angels big inning leads to a win

Play Hard Angels 16U scored 10 in the fourth inning to beat SBG Wahoos 10-2. Gary McCoy (2017, Junipero Serra, CA) led the attack with two hits including a double and two RBI's.  Nicholas DiFiori (2017, Bishop Amat, CA) doubled in two runs.  Cal Hodgins (2016, Simi Valley, CA) went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Joel Brown (2016, La Salle, CA) threw five innings. He struck out three while allowing just three hits. 

Dawson Netz (2019, Maranatha, CA) threw three innings for the Wahoos. He fanned three while allowing two hits. 

Slammers tied to come back

JG Baseball hung on to beat Slammers Asnicar 3-2. Ryan Almandinger (2017, Upland, CA) had two hits including a double.  Andrew Martinez (2016, Patriot, CA) drove in a run with a single. Cardinal Fernandezees (2017, Junipero Serra, CA) threw four innings. He struck out two while allowing three hits.  Yugi Sakine came in next. In two innings, he fanned four while not allowing a hit.

Cole Butler (2016, Thunderridge, CO) started for the Slammers. In 3 2/3 innings, he fanned five and gave up three hits. Butler had three hits including a double and an RBI. 

Casipit leads his team to a win

Christopher Casipit (2018, Mission San Jose, CA) led EJ Sports Warriors over Gamers Baseball Alaska.  He had two singles.  Both Dylan Knight (2018, San Ramon Valley, CA) and Antonio Costa (2017, Castro Valley, CA) singled in runs. Connor VanBrocklin (2017, San Ramon Valley, CA) pitched five innings and struck out six.  He allowed five hits and a walk.

Nathan Bonck (2016, Ketchikan, AK) led the Gamers with three hits including a double and two RBI's.  Julito Frazzini (2016, South Anchorage, AK) went 2 for 3.  Parker Johnson (2017, South Anchorage, AK) pitched in with two hits including a double. Frazzini also pitched 1 1/3 inning. He struck out two while not allowing a hit or walk.   His fastball was between 82-84 mph. 

Trombly tops Lasorda

Trombly Baseball shut down Lasorda University in their 4-0 win.  Andrew Frazier (2016, Valley Vista, AZ) pitched the first four innings. He struck out five while allowing three hits. His low 80's heater touched 83 mph. Louis Crow (2016, Buena Park, CA) came in to throw three innings. He fanned three and gave up three hits. Trevor Thompson (2016, Norco, CA) led the offense with two hits including a triple and an RBI.  Andrew Frazier (2016, Valley Vista, AZ) doubled in a run.

Johnathan Watson (2017, Mesquite, AZ) had two singles for Lasorda. Cody Holtz (2017, Perry, AZ) threw three innings. He struck out three and gave up three hits.  Michael Schermerhorn (2016, Mountain Pointe, AZ) came in next.  He k'ed three and walked four in 3 2/3 innings of work. 

So. Nevada Rallies Late, Wins 6-5

The Southern Nevada Baseball needed a two-run burst in the final inning to take a 6-5 win over BGB Orange County. Both teams knocked in seven hits from five different players respectively as Myles Denson (2016, Bishop Gorman HS, NV) led the Nevada offense with a perfect game at the plate. Denson finished 2-2 with two RBIs, a run scored, a triple and a walk, showing speed on the base paths to the tune of three stolen bases. Ryan Carpenter (2016, Arnold O. Beckman HS, CA) powered the BGB offense with a 2-3 effort, knocking in an RBI and a run scored with two triples. 

Tyler McKee (2016, Bishop Gorman HS, NV) picked up the win for Southern Nevada for his one and a third innings on the mound to close out the game. McKee tossed 16 pitches and allowed no hits, runs or walks while striking out one with a fastball averaging 78 mph and topping out at 81 mph. 

Late Run Gives Lamorinda Win

The Lamoridna Showcase answered a three-run first inning from the San Diego Show Blue with a four-run inning of their own, but didn't seal the game until the final inning with a walk and score to take a 5-4 win. The Showcase offense knocked in nine hits from seven different players with Khalid Johnson (2017, De La Salle HS, CA) leading the way on offense. Johnson finished perfect at the plate, going 3-3 with an RBI, a run scored, and a stolen base. 

Jack Downing (2016, College Park HS, CA) took home the win for the Showcase after closing out the final inning on the mound. Downing tossed 16 pitches in the seventh inning and allowed one hit and no runs or walks while striking out one with a fastball averaging 76 mph and topping out at 81 mph. 

GBG Marucci Navy wins Championship

GBG Marucci Navy defeated the SACSN National Team 10-2 to win the 2014 PG/Evoshield National Championship Underclass.  Leadoff man, and UCLA commit, Jordan Prendiz (2016, Mt. Whitney HS, CA), sparked the offense going 2-3 with 1 double, 1 triple and 2 runs scored.  Kyle Cuellar (2016, La Salle HS, CA) also had a big day at the plate going 3-3 with 1 triple, 1 double, 2 runs scored and 1 RBI.  Zane Chittenden (2016, Buena HS, CA) added in a 3-3 day with 1 double, 1 run scored and 1 RBI, while Oregon commit, Spencer Steer (2016, Millikan HS, CA), went 2-2 with 1 double, 2 runs scored and 1 RBI.  Continuing the big offensive day for GBG Marucci was Washington commit, Ben Baird (2016, Agoura HS, CA), who went 2-3 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI.  

Christian Longoria (2016, Walnut HS, CA) started and earned the win for GBG Marucci going 5 strong innings allowing just 2 runs on 3 hits and 2 walks, while recording 5 strikeouts.  Longoria showed a loose, quick arm on his 80-82/83 mph fastball, also mixing in a 66-69/70 mph curveball and a 74-75/76 mph changeup.  

For SACSN, Duke commit, Matt Mervis (2016, Georgetown Preparatory HS, MD), showed a short, compact swing and a fluid stroke going 1-2 with 1 RBI and Nicholas Quintana (2016, Arbor View HS, NV), a Southern California commit, went 1-2 with 1 double and 1 RBI.  

SACSN advances to Championship

The SACSN National team defeated the West Coast Clippers 2017 1-0 in the Semifinals to advance to the Championship game.  Colton Rendon (2016, William T Dwyer HS, FL) started and dominated for SACSN tossing 7 shutout innings allowing just 1 hit, while recording 8 strikeouts.  Rendon used a bulldog approach on the mound, working quickly and throwing strikes with a 82-85/86 mph explosive fastball and a late breaking 62-67 mph curveball. 

Daniel Bakst (2016, Poly Prep Country Day HS, NY) led the way for the SACSN offense going 1-2 with 1 RBI and 1 walk.  Tommy Gillman (2016, Columbine HS, CO) also showed well working 2 walks and stealing 1 base. 

For the Clippers, Conner McBride (2018, Rancho Bernardo HS, CA) took the tough-luck loss going 6 innings allowing 1 run on 1 hit and 8 walks, while striking out 5.  McBride showed a solid arm action and got good armside run on his 75-79/81 mph fastball.  

GBG Marucci Navy advances to Championship

GBG Marucci Navy defeated GBG Marucci Blue 7-0 to advance past the Semifinals and onto the Championship game.  Cooper Gallion (2016, Redondo Union HS, CA) started and earned the win for the Navy team going 6 shutout innings allowing just 8 hits and no walks, while recording 11 strikeouts.  While on the mound, Gallion relied on his 77-82/83 mph fastball and also mixed in his 63-69/70 mph curveball.  

Leadoff man, and UCLA commit, Jordan Prendiz (2016, Mt. Whitney HS, CA), helped spark the offense going 3-3 with 1 triple, 1 double, 2 runs scored, 1 RBI and 1 stolen base.  Adam Fogel (2016, Palos Verdes HS, CA) added in a 2-2 day at the plate with 1 run scored and 1 walk.  Oregon commit, Spencer Steer (2016, Millikan HS, CA), and Zane Chittenden (2016, Buena HS, CA) each hit 1 double, scored 1 run and knocked in 1 for the Navy offense.  

For the GBG Marucci Blue team, Austin Schell (2017, Arnold O. Beckman HS, CA) went 2-3 with 1 double.  

Wildfire Takes Down So Cal Birds

The Wildfire Baseball Underclass defeated the So Cal Birds 9-0 in five innings.

For Wildfire, Jacob Goodwin (2017, Chandler, AZ) led the team with a single and a double that scored three RBIs. Rhett Holmes (2017, Scottsdale, AZ) added two singles and a run, and Ben Kirke (2017, Scottsdale, AZ) roped a RBI single while scoring once. Freddy Ortega (2017 ,Tucson, AZ) connected with a RBI double and later scored. Matthew Metz (2017, Scottsdale, AZ) roped a single and scored twice in the game. 

Connor Denning (2017, Phoenix, AZ) took over the pitching duties. He went all five innings with no runs scored and four hits. He walked three batters and struck out four on his 73 mph fastball.

For the Birds, Paul Colignon (2017, Yorba Linda, CA) tallied two singles for half of the hits. Jason Farese (2017, Tistin, CA) and Justin Yang (2017, Fountain Valley, CA) were the others to hit one single each.

Mike Thomas (2017, Fountain Valley, CA) showed some consistency on the mound with his two innings of work. He did not let a run score with two hits to fall. He walked just one batter and struck out three. He maxed out the gun at 70 mph. 

Offense Explodes in Extra Innings

The Tucson Champs defeated the GBG Marucci Navy 2016/17 15-13 in eight innings.

Nicholas Gonzales (2017, Vail, AZ) led the Tucson Champs with a pair of doubles that drove in three RBIS. Kevin Jimenez (2018, Tumacacori, AZ) led the team with four RBIs with a single and a run. Michael Corral (2017, Tucson, AZ) and Brian Romero (2018, Tucson, AZ) each knocked two singles with two RBIs and scoring twice. Fabian Ferreira (2017, Tucso, AZ) helped with two singles and two RBIs. 

For the GBG Marucci, Logan Pollack (2017, Los Angeles, CA) led the team with a single and a triple that scored two RBIs. Christopher Gomez (2016, El Segundo, CA) added with a  two RBI singles and a pair of runs. Nico Gonzalez (2016, Ontario, CA) roped two singles with a RBI and later scoring. Brett Davis (2016, Manhattan Beach, CA) contributed a two RBI double with a run. 

Will Jensen Leads Mountain West to Next Round

The Mountain West defeated the So Cal NTT 5-2 in eight innings.

For the Mountain West, Will Ostler (2016, Kaysville, UT) led the offense with a single and a double while driving in two RBIs and scoring once. Mick Madsen (2016, Lehi, UT) knocked a single and scored once. Four other players added to the offense with each tacking on a single.

Will Jensen (2016, Holladay, UT) led his team by taking over the So Cal NTT offense. He went 7.2 innings without an earned run to score off two hits. He tossed 104 pitches without any walks and striking out ten. He ran the gun up to 84 mph. He has the ability to pitch out of trouble. He uses his good command and late breaking curveball to help him in troublesome situations. 

Marc Henning (2016, Fallbrook, CA) was the only player to get an extra base hit for the So Cal NTT with a double. Jake Mulholland (2016, Snohomish, WA) knocked a single and later scored.

Henning also pitched for his team with 7.2 innings. He let two earned runs score off seven hits. He walked a pair and struck out three. He maxed out the gun at 75 mph. He has a loose arm action with arm side run on his fastball. 

One Hit Enough For Athletics

The Rijo Athletics defeated the Colton Nighthawks 3-1 in seven innings.

The Rijo Athletics could only muster up one hit by Kyler McMahan (2017, Lynwood, WA) with a single. The team as a whole walked eight times and struck out six.

The pitching by Drew Santana (2017, Renton, WA) led the team to the win. He went all seven innings without an earned run to score off one hit. He walked a pair and struck out six on his 83 mph fastball. 

The Nighthawks also could only connect with one hit by Colby Sims (2017, Cornoa, CA) with a single and scored the only run for his team.

The most effective pitcher for his team was Zachary Flios (2016, Rancho Cucamonga, CA) who pitched two innings. He did let a run score or a hit fall. He walked one batter and struck out two. He maxed out the gun at 78 mph. He uses his lower half with a long arm action.

Errors Hurt All Star Baseball in 5-2 Loss

The CBA Marucci 2017 defeated the All Star Baseball Academy 17U 5-2 in seven innings.

Aaron Greenfield (2016, Millikan, CA) led the CBA Marucci team with a single and a triple. He drove in three RBIs and a run. Nick Allen (2017, Francis W. Parker, CA) roped a double that plated one and later scored twice. Kewin Ledesma (2017, Montrose, CA) knocked a single and scored, and Ezele Wicks (2017, Whittier, CA) connected with a  double of his own.

Russo pitched all seven inning for his team. He let one earned run score off ten hits. He walked a pair and struck out seven on his 78 mph fastball. 

For the All Star Baseball, Ryan Saltonstall (2016, Phoenix, AZ) led the team with two singles with a RBI. Alex Segal (2016, Scottsdale, AZ) and Harrison Jones (2016, Scottsdale, AZ) helped with each knocking two singles. Brett Aker (2016, Glendale, AZ) contributed a double and later scored. 


Big Fourth Not Enough for Titans

The Prospects National Team defeated Team California Titans 10-8 in six innings.

Connor Queen (2016, Boerne, TX) was on elf the leaders for the Prospects. He tallied two singles with a double while driving in two RBIs and scoring once. Najee Gaskins (2016, Vali, AZ) helped with a trio of singles with a RBI and three runs. Bryce Couch (2016, Hamilton, OH) and Ian Lutz (2016, Cypress, TX) each contributed a pair of singles while touching home twice. Brayden Petroshus (2016, Littleton, CO) roped a two RBI single to add to the lead.

Isaac Bracken (2016, Brethoud, CO) shut down the last inning on the mound for his team. He only went one inning without giving up a walk, hit, or a run. He also struck out two opponents. He maxed out the gun at 84 mph.

For the Titans, Connor Chapman (2018, Anaheim, CA) connected with two doubles that drove in two RBIs and scored twice. Max Crabbe (2018, Irvine, CA) came in the clutch with a two RBI single, and Alex Rosen (2018, Newport Beach, CA) added two singles with a RBI. Spencer Neal (2017, Newport Beach, CA) notched a pair of singles with a RBI.


Bulldogs Take Down Nighthawks 11-3

The ASD Bulldogs defeated the Colton Nighthawks 16U 11-3 in six innings.

Scarlota led the Bulldogs with a single and a double while scoring three RBIs and a run. Hunter Jump (2017, Aliso Viejo, CA) added a pair of singles with a RBI and two runs. Jack Dryer (2017, Lake Forest, CA) and Gavin Garcia (2016, Lake Forest, CA) contributed a two RBI single and a run, and Kenny Oyama (2017, Trabuco Canyon, CA) helped with two singles and a RBI. Cooper Uhl (2016, Mission Viejo, CA) knocked a RBI single while touching home twice.

Austin Collins (2016, San Clemente, CA) was the most effective pitcher for his team. He only went two innings but did not allow a hit, walk, or a run. He ran the gun up to 78 mph. Jake Mills (2017, San Clemente, CA) led the staff in strikeouts with four in his two innings of work. He walked one and allowed two hits. He maxed out the radar at 78 mph as well.

For the Nighthawks, Brenden Castillo (2017, Hemet, CA) led his team with a  single and a double. Brett Kendall (2016, Hemet, CA) added on a pair of singles.  Caleb Farmer (2017, San Jacinto, CA) knocked a single and a scored once.


Wilson dominates as SACSN advances

The SACSN National Team defeated Phenom Texas 5-0 to advance past the Quarterfinal round.  BYU commit, Jake Wilson (2016, Shadow Ridge HS, NV), started and dominated on the mound tossing 7 shutout innings allowing just 2 hits and 1 walk, while striking out 7.  Wilson featured a 77-80/82 mph fastball and effectively worked in his 61-64 mph curveball.

Wyatt Featherston (2016, Green Mountain HS, CO) led the way for the SACSN offense going 3-3 with 2 triples, 2 runs scored and 1 RBI.  Colby Wyatt (2016, Sandra Day O'Connor HS, AZ) also showed well going 2-2 with 1 RBI and 1 walk.  Lael Lockhart Jr (2016, Friendswood HS, TX) added in a 1-3 day at the plate as he went 1-3 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI.  

For Phenom Texas, Daniel Abularach (2016, Rancho Verde HS, CA) and Jerry Quemeda (2016, Upland HS, CA) each went 1-2 with 1 single.  

Glenn drives in runs for the West

Josh Glenn (2016, Juan Diego Catholic, UT) doubled twice in Mountain West's 6-2 win over ABD Bulldogs.  He also plated a run. Keagan Parry (2016, Alta, UT) went 2 for 2 with a triple and an RBI.  Tyler Thompson (2016, Lone Peak, UT) also tripled in a run.

Parker White (2016, Aliso Niguel, CA) had two hits including a double for the Bulldogs. Kyle Csakan (2016, Santiago, CA) went 2 for 2 and came around to score once. 

Homer helps Angels win

Play Hard Angels 16U scored in the seventh to beat AZ Athletics 2017 3-2.  Brandon Louie (2016, South Pasadena, CA) singled in two runs.  Cal Hodgins (2016, Simi Valley, CA) homered in the seventh to break the tie. Gary McCoy (2017, Junipero Serra, CA) pitched a complete game. He struck out three while allowing six walks. 

Jordan Suarez (2017, Copper Canyon, AZ) led the A's with two hits including a double.  Braden Fendley (2017, Flagstaff, AZ) also had a single and a double. He also drove in a run. 

Livingston smacks 3 hits in GBG Marucci W

GBG Marucci Blue defeated Team Northwest 10-5 to advance past the Quarterfinals.  Leadoff man, Riley Livingston (2016, Loyola HS, CA), helped spark the offense going 3-4 with 1 double, 2 runs scored and 1 RBI.  Joey Dawes (2016, Agoura HS, CA) added in a 2-2 day with 2 runs scored and Austin Schell (2017, Arnold O Beckman HS, CA) went 2-4 with 2 RBI.  Jacob Springman (2016, Redondo Union HS, CA) also showed well going 3-3 with 1 run scored and 3 RBI.  

Ryan Deamarest (2016, Loyola HS, CA) earned the win out of the bullpen tossing 1 2/3 innings allowing just 1 walk, and recording 1 strikeout.  Deamarest relied primarily on his 76-78/79 mph fastball and mixed in a couple 62-65 mph curveballs.  

For Team Northwest, Jordan Jones (2016, Kentwood HS, WA) went 2-3 with 3 RBI and Jacob Hirsh (2016, O Dea HS, WA) went 1-2 with 2 runs scored.

Jordan Jones (2016, Kentwood, WA) led Team Northwest to a 6-0 win over 520 Elite. He struck out six while allowing five hits and zero walks in seven innings. His fastball was in the low 80's and touched 84 mph.  Keenan Milligan (2016, Tumwater, WA) led the offense with two hits including a triple and an RBI.

Liam Rosebeck (2016, Empire, AZ) pitched for the Elite. He k'ed four while walking three batters. 

Warriors get a win

Justin O'Leary (2016, Carlsbad, CA) threw a complete game for Team California Warriors in their 3-0 win over Warriors Baseball Academy 2017's.  He struck out eight while allowing five hits and two walks. His fastball was in the high 70's and touched 81 mph. Christian Mendez (2017, Santana, CA) drove in a run with a single. 

Gabe Rios (2017, Verrado, AZ) led the Warriors with three singles. Jake Huey (2016, Northwest Christian, AZ) started and lasted five innings. He struck out two while allowing four hits. He threw his heater in the low 80's and touched 82 mph.

The Warriors Baseball Academy 2018's defeated the Canyon Thunder 11-5 in their consolation game.  Reid McLaughlin (2018, Desert Mountain HS, AZ) led the way offensively going 2-4 with 2 triples, 5 RBI and 1 stolen base.  Antonio Brito (2018, Verrado HS, AZ) added in a 2-3 day with 1 RBI and Damien McElroy (2018, Raymond S. Kellis HS, AZ) went 1-2 with 3 runs scored, 1 RBI, 2 stolen bases and 2 walks.  Leadoff man, Jonathan Ornelas (2018, Raymond S. Kellis HS, AZ), also showed well going 2-2 with 1 double, 3 runs scored, 2 stolen bases and 1 walk.  

Jacob Robson (2018, Mountain Ridge HS, AZ) earned the win for the Warriors going 2 innings allowing 2 hits and 1 walk, while striking out 1 batter.  Robson featured a 72-76 mph fastball and effectively mixed in a 61-63 mph curveball in his outing.  

For the Thunder, Christopher Morales (2017, Mountain Pointe HS, AZ) went 2-2 with 1 double and Joe Palanzo (2017, Cactus Shadows HS, AZ) went 2-2 with 1 run scored, 1 RBI and 1 walk.

GBG Marucci Navy 2016/17 came from behind to beat Team Avenue Aces 3-2. Nico Gonzalez (2016, Colony, CA) drove in two runs with two singles. Carson Rudd (2017, Oaks Christian, CA) started and lasted 5 1/3 innings. He struck out three while allowing two walks.

Matthew Holguin (2016, Montwood, TX) led the Aces with two singles. 

Barnett pitches to a win

JJ Barnett (2017, American Canyon, CA) pitched a complete game for North Coast Reds 16U in their 1-0 win over All Star Baseball Academy 17U. He fanned nine while allowing three hits and four walks. His fastball was between 81-83 mph and touched 84. Trey Dubois (2017, American Canyon, CA) drove in the only run of the game with a single.

GBG Marucci Navy defeated the Phenom 15U 10-5 to advance past the Quarterfinals.  Leadoff man, and UCLA commit, Jordan Prediz (2016, Mt. Whitney HS, CA), helped spark the offense as he went 3-3 with 1 triple, 1 double, 2 runs scored, 2 RBI and 1 walk.  Kyle Cuellar (2016, La Salle HS, CA) added in a 3-3 day with 3 runs scored and Zane Chittenden (2016, Buena HS, CA) went 2-2 with 1 double and 1 run scored.  Adam Fogel (2016, Palos Verdes HS, CA) also showed well going 1-3 with 1 double, 1 run scored and 1 RBI.

Jakob Gonzalez (2016, La Mirada HS, CA) started and earned the win for GBG Marucci going 4 innings allowing 5 runs, 4 earned on 7 hits and 3 walks, while striking out 3.  Gonzalez got impressive velocity on his 82-86 mph fastball and mixed in a 65-69 mph curveball.

Both teams racked numerous hits and All Star Baseball Academy 16U tied 6-6 with San Diego Show Blue.  Anthony Quattrocchi (2017, Joy Christian, AZ) led the attack for All Star. He had three hits including a double and an RBI.  Sam Stewart (2017, Liberty, AZ) went 3 for 4 with a two-baser and an RBI. Derek Legeza (2017, Liberty, AZ) pitched in with a single and a double.  Grant Lung (2017, Deer Valley, AZ) also had a single and a double. He also plated a run. 

Bradley Polinsky (2018, Cathedral Catholic, CA) went a perfect 3 for 3 for San Diego. He also drove in a run.  David Josephson (2017, Helix, CA) also had three singles and two RBI's.  Zack Prajzner (2018, San Marcos, CA) pitched in with three one-basers. 

Champs fail to make a comeback

Tuscon Champs tired to stage a comeback but Trombly Baseball held on in their 8-7 win.  Trevor Thompson (2016, Norco, CA) led the offense with two doubles and an RBI.  Andrew Frazier (2016, Valley Vista, AZ) doubled in two runs while Colby Freeman (2016, Centennial, CA) plated two runs with his single. Thompson also threw 5 1/3 innings. He struck out four while walking one. His fastball was between 80-82 mph and touched 84. 

Jacob Federico (2017, Tucson Magnet, AZ) pitched for the Champs. In 3 2/3 innings, he struck out five and did not walk a batter. Dante DeNiro (2018, Catalina Foothills, AZ) had two singles and an RBI.  Federico doubled, tripled, and drove in two.

The Tuscon Bombers defeated the Texas Rangers Scout Team 15U 5-4 in their consolation game.  Brennan Rainey (2017, Canyon Del Oro HS, AZ) led the way for the Bombers' offense going 2-3 with 1 double, 1 run scored and 2 RBI.  Brett Spackeen (2017, Catalina Foothills HS, AZ) added in a 1-2 with 1 triple and 2 RBI, while Kyle Henry (2017, Canyon Del Oro HS, AZ) went 1-2 with 1 triple and 1 walk.  Dylan Kaiser (2017, Ironwood Ridge HS, AZ) also showed well going 2-2 with 1 double, 1 run scored and 1 walk.  

Addison Shinn (2017, Catalina Foothills HS, AZ) started and earned the win for the Bombers going 5 strong innings allowing just 2 unearned runs on 4 hits and 3 walks, while striking out 5 batters.  While on the mound, Shinn used a 73-78 mph fastball and mixed in a 64-68 mph curveball.

The 520 Elite defeated the Blue Wave 9-5 in their consolation game.  Alex Diaz (2016, Salpointe Catholic HS, AZ) led the way for the 520 offense showing a quick bat and getting good extension as he went 3-4 with 1 triple, 1 run scored and 1 RBI.  Mason Gavre (2016, Canyon Del Oro HS, AZ) used an aggressive approach and showed gap power going 2-3 with 1 double, 1 run scored, 1 RBI and 1 walk.  Branden Hance (2016, Salpointe Catholic HS, AZ) used a patient approach and a fluid stroke going 3-4 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI.  Adam Mays (2016, Ironwood Ridge HS, AZ) also showed well going 2-2 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI.  

Liam Rosebeck (2016, Empire HS, AZ) started and won the game for 520 going 6 strong innings allowing 5 runs, but only 2 earned, on 5 hits and 3 walks, while recording 9 strikeouts.  Rosebeck showed a solid arm action and good command of his 78-82/83 mph fastball, that showed armside run, and a good 64-69/71 mph curveball that showed good depth. 

For the Wave, Christian Lopez (2016, Century HS, CA) showed good bat speed and drove the ball with regular contact going 1-2 with 1 double, 1 RBI and 1 walk.  Breydon Grimm (2017, Brea-Olinda HS, CA) added in a 1-3 day with 1 RBI at the plate.

Parker Coyle (2018, Hamilton HS, AZ) led the way, going 2-3 with two singles, one run and one RBI in the game.  Colton Cassinelli (2018, Mesquite HS, AZ) contributed with a triple, and finished with two RBIs.  Gilberto Luna (2017, Casa Grande Union HS, AZ) pitched two innings on the mound, giving up no runs, two hits, and had one strikeout.  He showed the ability to be around the plate with all of his pitches, and threw strikes well with a fastball that peaked at 84 mph.

For the Red Sox, Dexter Wilkerson (2017, Agoura HS, CA) went a perfect 2-2 at the plate, with two singles, and one run scored.  Nick Sanitsky (2017, Calabasas HS, CA) contributed with a double in the game.

GBG Marucci Navy kept So Cal Waves to only two hits in their 8-0 win over So Cal Waves.  Copper Gallion started and lasted three innings. He struck out three while allowing a hit. His fastball touched 83 mph. Lyle Lin (2016, San Juan Capistrano, CA) came and threw the fourth and fifth. He fanned four while allowing a hit and no walks.  Zane Chittenden (2016, Buena, CA) had two doubles and two runs.  Will Proctor  (2016, Mira Costa, CA) went 2 for 3 with an RBI.  Spencer Steer (2-16, Millikan, CA) also had two hits including a triple and an RBI.

Sassion pitched for the Waves. He struck out one and walked two in four innings. 

AZ Athletics cruise by the ABD, 2-1

The AZ Athletics 2017 edged by the ABD, 2-1.  The game was scoreless into the last inning, when the Athletics grabbed two runs, and held ABD to one run in the bottom of the seventh to grab the win.

Leadoff hitter Channy Ortiz (2017, Apollo HS, AZ) went 1-3 with a single, and one RBI.  On the mound, Aaron Broderick (2017, Sunrise Mountain HS, AZ) pitched three innings of work, giving up no runs on no hits, and struck out three.

The West Coast Clippers 2017 defeated the Southern California Bombers 5-3 to advance past the Quarterfinals.  Leadoff man, AJ Nelums (2017, Oceanside HS, CA), helped spark the offense going 1-2 with 1 double and 1 stolen base.  Adrian Collazo (2017, Ramona HS, CA) added in a 1-2 with 1 double and 2 runs scored day at the plate.  Zach Hoqueisson (2017, Foothills Christian HS, CA) also showed well going 1-3 with 2 runs scored, 1 RBI and 1 walk.  

Edgardo Gonzales (2017, Citrus Hill HS, CA) started and earned the win for the Clippers going 3 innings allowing just 1 run on 5 hits and 1 walk, while striking out 1.  Gonzales showed a quick arm and good command as he was aggressive with his 75-79/81 mph fastball and also mixed in a 57-59 mph curveball.  

For the Bombers, Jacob Castillo (2016, San Dimas HS, CA) went 2-3 with 2 runs scored and Ryan Bunse (2016, Cajon HS, CA) went 1-2 with 1 double.

Beller pitched four innings. He struck out five while allowing six hits.

The 5 Tool Athletics defeated the Warriors Baseball Academy 2017's, in convincing fashion, 8-1.

Dylan Hadley (2016, La Costa Canyon HS, CA) led the way, going a perfect 2-2 at the plate with two doubles, two runs scored and one RBI. Nick Scheidler (2016, La Costa Canyon HS, CA) went a perfect 3-3, with three singles, one run and one RBI as well in the game.  Kooper Christ (2016, La Costa Canyon HS, CA) and James Rutledge (2016, Torrey Pines HS, CA) each contributed with a double a piece in the contest.

On the mound, Austin Merrill (2016, La Costa Canyon HS, CA) pitched two complete innings of work, giving up just one hit and struck out three, showing good command and the ability to throw strikes with all of his pitches.  He had a fastball that averaged 79-81/81 mph and mixed in a handful of off-speed pitches.

For the Warriors, Michael S. went 1-3 with a double and one RBI.

The SACSN National Team cruised to the easy shutout victory, defeating Trosky Baseball, 8-0.

Lael Lockhart, Jr. (2016, Friendswood HS, TX) went 2-2 in the game for SACSN, with a triple, single, and one run scored.  Daniel Bakst (2016 ,Poly Prep Country Day, NY) went 1-2 with a triple of his own, two runs scored and two RBIs.  Tyler Duvall (2016, Lebanon HS, OH) a Vanderbilt commit, also went a perfect 2-2 at the plate, with a double, single, one run and one RBI.  Tommy Gillman (2016, Columbine HS, CO) and Jake Wilson (2016, Shadow Ridge HS, NV) a BYU commit, each contributed with a double a piece in the game.

Jack Weisenburger (2016, Rockford HS, MI) a Michigan commit, pitched a complete game, giving up just three hits, and struck out three, while displaying a good ability to throw strikes with all of his pitches, and had a fastball that peaked at 89 mph.  He also mixed in a good curveball for his off-speed pitch.

The CrabFest All Americans defeated the SCBC Huskies 8-6 in their consolation game.  Zach Seal (2016, Georgetown Preparatory HS, VA) showed good bat speed and a short, compact swing going 1-1 with 1 home run, 3 runs scored, 2 RBI and 1 walk.  Colin Bergh (2016, Sussex Technical HS, DE) added in a 2-3 day with 1 double and 3 RBI.  John Fuqua (2016, Indian River HS, VA) also showed well by going 1-3 with 1 double, 2 RBI and 1 stolen base.  

Clark Reese (2016, Eleanor Roosevelt HS, MD) started and earned the win for CrabFest going 3 2/3 innings and he struck out 2 batters using a 72-75/76 mph fastball and mixed in a 61-64 mph curveball.

Sebastian Salaiz (2018, Mountain Pointe HS, AZ) started and earned the win for the Reds tossing 4 innings allowing just 1 unearned run on 4 hits and 2 walks, while striking out 5 batters.  While on the mound, Salaiz relied on his 70-72 mph fastball and effectively mixed in a 60-63 mph curveball.

Nighthawks Hold On To Early Lead

The Colton Nighthawks White defeated the ABD Bulldogs 5-4 in seven innings.

For the Nighthawks, Connor Cannon (2016, Temecula, CA) lit it up at the plate with a double and a home run while plating three RBIs and scoring twice. Aaron Orozco (2017, Garedna, CA) added a single and double that scored a RBI while touching home twice. Andrew Jurado (2016, Riverside, CA) helped with a pair of singles. 

Cole Cardey (2016, Riverside, CA) pitched most of the game for his team with four innings of work. He allowed one run off three hits. He walked a pair and struck out one. He ran the gun up to 88 mph. He has good command with a smooth and online delivery. He has armside run on his fastball that compliments his late breaking curveball. He has a plus fastball while changing speeds to keep batters off balance. 

For the Bulldogs, Parker White (2016, Aliso Videjo, CA) came in the clutch with a two RBI single in the sixth inning. Alex Lopez (2016, Indio, CA) helped with a RBI single, and Zack Bowman (2016, Aliso Viejo, CA) roped a pair of singles. Jake Lewis (2016, Velencia, CA) connected with a  triple and later scored.

Lewis also pitched for three innings. He did not allow a run and just two hits to fall. He walked two and struck out three on his 85 mph fastball.

On the mound, Adrian Mardueno (2016, Upland HS, CA) pitched a complete game, giving up two earned runs on two hits, and struck out seven.

Blackdogs Topple Team California

The Cairas Blackdogs defeated Team California Warriors-Columbia 11-4 in seven innings.

Jarod Esquivel (2016, Hascienda Heights, CA) led the Blackdogs offense with a single and a double. He drove in three RBIs to lead the team. Tom Corkery (2017, Trabuco Canyon, CA) also lender a hand with a single and a double as well with two RBIs and two runs. Michael Kashou (2016, Chiro Hills, CA) contributed a pair of singles with a double along with a RBI and scoring three times to lead the team. Jordan Chavez (2016, Chino Hills, CA) knocked a single and double while scoring twice. 

Tanner Bibee (2017, Mission Biejo, CA) pitched most of the game 3.1 innings. He did not allow a walk, hit, or a run. He struck out four while touching 76 mph. 

For Team California, Adrian Banales led the team with a two RBI single in the fourth inning. B Scott roped a RBI single, and Richie Coughlin (2016, North Las Vegas, NV) added a single and later scored.


So Cal slips past Bulldogs

In a pitching duel, So Cal NTT beat CBA Bulldog 2016 2-1.  Justin Willis (2017, St. Joseph, NJ) pitched for NTT.  In seven innings, he fanned an impressive 12 while allowing three hits and a walk. His heater was in the mid 80's and touched 87 mph. Jake Mullholland (2016, Snohomish, WA) led the offense with two singles and an RBI. Michael Borg (2016, La Habra, CA) doubled in a run. 

Corey Treyes (2016, Norco, CA) threw for the Bulldogs.  He allowed six hits, one walk, and struck out nine. His fastball was between 80-82 mph and touched 83. Brian Martin (2016, Polytechnic, CA) singled in their only run. 

Playa Vista Orioles dominate in win

The Playa Vista Orioles dominated in the 9-1 victory, defeating the Arizona Diamondbacks Academy.

Jesse Burke (2016, Crespi Carmelite HS, CA) sparked the Orioles offense, going 2-3 with two singles, one run and one RBI in the game.  Leadoff hitter Brice Turang (2018, Santiago HS, CA) contributed by going 1-2 at the plate, with a single, two runs scored, and one RBI.  Joel Casillas (2016, Richard Gahr HS, CA) pitched three innings of work, giving up just one hit, no runs and struck out five.  He had a good fastball that peaked at 82 mph, and mixed in a handful of off-speed pitches as well.

For the Diamondbacks, Trey Dillard (2017, Sunnyslope HS, AZ) and Thomas Cazares (2017, Hamilton HS, AZ) each went 1-2 in the game, with a single a piece.  Dillard finished with one RBI in the game as well.


Wave and MAP End in 1-1 Tie

The CBA Wave and the MAP Baseball ended in a tie at 1-1 at the end of seven innings.

For the Wave, Sterling Hayes (2018, La Jolla, CA) led the team with a single while scoring the only run in the seventh inning. Cyrus Fullen (2016, San Diego, CA) and Tyler Hawke (2017, San Diego, CA) each contributed with a single of their own.

Dylan Orlando (2017, Las Vegas, NV) was the only pitcher for the Wave and pitched masterfully. He went all seven innings with one run off six hits. He walked just one batter and struck out ten on his 80 mph fastball. He has good command while setting up hitters and changing speeds. He has arm side run on his fastball that comes with a good sinking change up.

For the MAP offense, Tom Kolar (2016, Mendota Heights, MN) and Hunter Lindquist (2016, Spring Lake Park, MN) each knocked a pair of singles, and Lindquist scored once. Mitch Hirsch (2016, Shorewood, MN) connected with a  RBI single to help his team.

Luke Wade (2016, Wayzata, MN) matched his opponent very well with his complete game of work. He allowed one run that was unearned off just three hits. He walked just one batter and struck out eight. He maxed out the radar at 78 mph. 

Schell lifts Marucci

Austin Schell (2017, Arnold O Beckman, CA) drove in three RBI's on two doubles for GBG Marucci Blue in their 7-5 win over CrabFest All Americans.  Reese Alexiades (2016, Mira Costa, CA) also doubled that drove in two runs. Eric Banuelos (2016, South Hills, CA) pitched three innings. He struck out four while allowing two hits. 


Zach Seal (2016, Georgetown Prep, VA) started for CrabFest. In five innings, he struck out seven while allowing four hits.  His fastball was in the low 80's and touched 84 mph. Grant Keller (2016, Midlothian, VA) had a perfect day at the plate with three hits including a double, triple and two RBI's. Seal also helped out on the offensive side with two hits and an RBI. 

Marlins Rally Back in 5-2 Game

The So Cal Marlins defeated the Phenom 16U Elite 5-2 in six innings.

Morera led the Marlins offense with two singles and a RBI. Taishi Nakawake and Lowell Schipper (2016, Santa Monica, CA) each knocked a RBI single to help their cause. Feankie Chelabian connected with a double for his team.

Matt Mercier pitched 4.2 innings on the mound. He allowed both runs off three hits. He walked a pair and struck out three on his 69 mph fastball.

For the Phenom, Kendall Krout (2016, Corona, CA) led the team with the only RBI single of the game. Three other players for his team helped with each tacking on a single.

Gilbert Ortiz (2016, Upland, CA) went the longest on the bump for his team. He allowed three runs with three hits. He also walked three batters and struck out five. He ran the gun up to 83 mph.

The Lot cruises to easy 11-4 win

The Lot cruised to the easy 11-4 victory, defeating the Colorado Travelers, in convincing fashion.

Brandon Otis (2016, Eastside HS, CA) led the way for The Lot, going 2-3 with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBIs in the game.  Ethan Avant (2016, Quartz Hill HS, CA) contributed by going 2-2 with two singles, two runs scored and one RBI.  Anthony Parisi (2016, Lancaster HS, CA) went a perfect 3-3 at the plate, with a double, two singles, and three RBIs on the day.

For the Travelers, Nick Synder (2016, Heritage HS, CO) went 2-2 with two singles, and one run scored.  Thomas Fox (2017, J.K. Mullen HS, CO) went 1-3 with a single, one run and one RBI in the contest.

Riley Glenn (2016, San Juan Hills, CA) pitched a complete game for Cairas Blackdogs in their 4-0 win over The Lot.  He struck out seven while allowing six hits. His fastball was in the high 70's and touched 81 mph. Andrew Bearden (2016, Ruben S Ayala, CA) led the offense with two hits including a double.  Jordan Chavez (2016, Diamond Bar, CA) pitched in two singles. 

Ethan Avant (2016, Quartz Hill, CA) and Michael Hairell (2016, Canyon, CA) both had two singles for The Lot. 

Lions' offense dominates in win

The Mountain Lions defeated AZ Heat 9-1 in their consolation game.  Andrew Swartz (2016, Mountain Ridge HS, AZ) led the way offensively for the Lions going 2-3 with 1 triple, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.  Nathan Gawelko (2017, Mountain Ridge HS, AZ) added in a 2-2 day at the plate with 2 doubles, 1 run scored and 1 RBI.  Tristan Thomas (2016, Mountain Ridge HS, AZ) also showed well by going 2-3 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI.  Tommy Lowe (2017, Mountain Ridge HS, AZ) had a big day at the plate going 1-2 with 1 run scored and 2 RBI.  

Jake Hintze (2016, Mountain Ridge HS, AZ) started and earned the win for the Lions going 4 strong innings allowing just 1 run on 2 hits and 3 walks, while striking out 4 batters.  While on the mound, Hintze featured a 75-80/81 mph fastball and a 68-69 mph curveball.  

For the Heat, Alfredo Zapata (2016, Thunderbird HS, AZ) went 1-3 with 1 RBI and Jose Meneses (2017, Desert Edge HS, AZ) went 1-2 with 1 double and 1 run scored.

Rijo Athletics scored five in the the second and went on to beat Play Hard Angels 16U 10-6. Miles Jackson (2017, Bothell, WA) led the attack with two singles.  Austin Baek (2017, Bothell, WA) singled in two runs.  Kevin Nakahara (2016, Lake Washington, WA) doubled in a run. 

Joel Brown (2016, La Salle, CA) drove in two runs with a single for the Angels. Brandon Louie (2016, South Pasadena, CA) pitched 5 2/3 innings. He struck out four while walking three. 

Wahoos outhits Heat but lose

Even though SBG Wahoos outhit AZ Heat, they lost 6-4. Blake Starr (2016, Northwest Christian, AZ) led the Heat with two hits including a double.  Matthew Lundh (2016, Thunderbird, AZ) tripled in a run as did Nick Hamilton. 

Brett Morien (2017, Bishop Alemany, CA) had three singles and drove in two runs.  Kristian Pagalidis (2017, Bishop Alemany, CA) pitched in with two one-basers.  Leon Jackson (2017, Bishope Alemany, CA) helped out with two singles.  Dawons Netz (2019, Maranatha, CA) had a single and a double. Grant Bollier (2017, Bishop Alemany,CA) started and lasted four innings. He struck out four while allowing five hits.  Eddie Rodriguez (2017, Canyon, CA) fanned two and walked three in three innings of work.

GBG Marucci Navy's pitchers only allowed one hit in their 8-0 win over Gamers Baseball Alaska. Johnny Morell (2016, Murrieta Valley, CA) started and lasted three innings. He struck out four while not allowing a walk or hit. His fastball was in the mid 80's and touched 87 mph.   Christian Longoria (2016, Walnut, CA) pitched the fourth and fifth inning. He allowed a hit and fanned five.  Zane Chittenden (2016, Buena, CA) doubled in a run.  Will Proctor (2016, Mira Costa, CA) also plated a run with a two-baser. 

Nathan Bonck (2-16, Ketchikan ) had the Gamers only hit. 

Quemeda fans 12 in win

Jerry Quemeda (2016, Upland, CA) threw six solid inning for Phenom Texas in their 4-1 win over 5 Tool Athletics.  He fanned 12 while allowing five hits and two walks. His impressive heater was between 84-86 mph and touched 87. Matt Fisher (2016, Redlands, CA) led the offense with a single that drove in a run. 

 Reed LaBar (2016, La Costa Canyon, CA) had two singles for the A's.  Kooper Christ (2016, La Costa Canyon, CA) doubled in their only run. Nick Scheidler (2016, La Costa Canyon, CA) threw four innings. He struck out three but walked four.

Ben Baird (2016, Agoura, CA) went 3 for 3 with a double and three RBI's.  Zane Chittenden (2016, Buena, CA) pitched in with two singles and an RBI.  Jordan Prendiz (2016, Mt Whitney, CA) drove in two runs with a double. Adam Kerner (2017, Oaks Christian, CA) singled in two runs in the win. Brandon Moore (2016, St. John Bosco, CA) threw three innings. He struck out five while allowing two hits. His fastball was between 84-86 mph. Jakob Gonazlez (2016, La Mirada, CA) came in to pitched the fourth inning. He fanned two and did not allow a walk.  His fastball was also in the mid 80's and touched 87.

Connor McCord (2016, Corona Del Sol, AZ) had three of those hits including a double and three RBI's.  Andrew Swift (2017, Hamilton, AZ) doubled in two runs. Both Blake Paugh (2017, Chaparral, AZ) and Zach Baptists (2017, Boulder Creek, AZ) had two singles each.  Jacob Gonzalez (2017, Chaparral, AZ) went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI. Joseph Montenergro (2017, Jesuit College Prep, TX) also doubled in a run.  Boyd Vander Kooi (2017, Skyline, AZ) pitched in with two hits including a double and three RBI's.  Mitchell Allen (2016, Boulder Creek, AZ) went 3 for 4 with two doubles, a triple and two RBI's.  Zane Strand (2016, Hamilton, AZ) threw four innings. He fanned six while allowing two hits. His fastball was in the low 80's and touched 86 mph.

In six innings, he struck out six while walking one.

Ashton Atkinson (2016, Ash Fork, AZ) started the game for AZ Pro in their 2-0 win over Mountain West.  He struck out nine while walking four in five innings of work.  Kamerson Quitno (2017, Scottsdale Christian, AZ) led the offense with a single that plated a run.

Josh Glenn (2016, Juan Diego, UT) led the West with two hits including a double. Alex Baeza (2016, Jordan, UT) pitched the first four innings. He fanned four while allowing three hits.  Mick Madsen (2016, American Fork, UT) came in to pitch two perfect innings. He k'e three in the process. 

ABD Powers to 7-2 Win

MAP Baseball jumped out to an early lead with a two-run burst in the first, but ABD fought back with a four-run fourth inning to take control of the game and pick up win 7-2. Both teams knocked in five hits as Hayden LeCates (2016, Legacy HS, NV) turned his one hit into triple with two RBIs for ABD.  

Justin Taylor (2017, Mater Dei HS, CA) picked up the win for ABD after tossing a complete game from the mound. Taylor allowed five hits and two runs, neither earned, on 117 pitches while walking two and striking out 11 with a four-pitch rotation featuring a curveball and a fastball averaging 73 mph and topping out at 76 mph. 

Elite Ice Game Late, Win 8-2

The So Cal Elite jumped out to to an early three-run lead in the first inning, but didn't put Trombly Baseball away until a four-run burst in the top of the seventh to take the win 8-2. The Elite offense knocked in 13 hits from six different players as five logged multi-hit games. Tristian Salcido (2016, Summit HS, CA) and Bryant Serrano (2017, Damien HS, CA) powered the Elite. Salcido logged a perfect game at the plate finishing 3-3 with two RBIs, two runs scored, a walk and a double as Serrano added in a 3-4 game with three runs scored, two doubles, and a stolen base. 

Frank Racioppo (2016, Chaparrel HS, AZ) picked up the win for the Elite for his five innings on the mound to start out the game. Racioppo allowed four hits and one earned run on 71 pitches while walking one and striking out five with a fastball averaging 75 mph and topping out at 78 mph.

CBA Marucci 2017 defeated the Prospects National Team 7-4 to improve to 2-0-1 in the tournament.  Offensively for CBA, Anthony Marquez (2017, Cypress HS, CA) went 1-2 with 2 RBI and 1 walk.  Joey Hodapp (2017, Vista Murrieta HS, CA) added in a 2-2 day with 1 RBI at the plate.  Nick Allen (2017, Francis W. Parker, CA) also showed well going 1-3 with 1 double, 1 run scored and 1 RBI.  

Jimmy Martinez (216, Segerstorm HS, CA) started and earned the win for CBA going 5 innings allowing 4 runs, 3 earned, on 3 hits and 5 walks, with 4 strikeouts.  Martinez featured a 79-83/84 mph fastball with a 65-72 mph curveball.  

For the Prospects National Team, Najee Gaskins (2016, Cienega HS, AZ) went 1-3 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI.  Brayden Petrosheus (2016, Charfield HS, CO) and Ryan Hildreth (2016, Perry HS, AZ) each picked up 1 single and knocked in 1 run.

The Southern California Bombers 2016 defeated the Canyon Thunder 4-1 to stay undefeated and improve to 3-0 in the tournament.  For the Bombers' offense, Andy Thomas (2016, Murrieta Mesa HS, CA) went 2-3 and Liam Sellers (2016, Damien HS, CA) went 1-2 with 2 RBI and 1 walk.  Emanuel Viramontes (2016, Tahquitz HS, CA) added in a 1-2 day with 1 double and Jacob Castillo (2016, San Dimas HS, CA) went 1-2 with 1 run scored and 1 walk.  

Nolan Collins (2016, Palos Verdes Peninsula HS, CA) started and earned the win for the Bombers going 3 1/3 innings allowing just 1 hit and no walks, while recording 4 strikeouts.  While on the mound, Collins used a 76-82/84 mph fastball with a 63-70 mph curveball.  

For the Thunder, Jordan Jacob (2017, Queen Creek HS, AZ) went 1-2 with 1 double and 1 RBI.

The Tuscson Champs defeated the Lakeside Legends 8-0 to improve their record to 2-1 in the tournament.  Dante DeNiro (2018, Catalina Foothills HS, AZ) started and earned the win for the Champs going 5 shutout innings allowing 2 hits and 2 walks, while striking out 6.  DeNiro got good extension out front with his 75-78/79 mph fastball, 64-67 mph curveball and 69-73 mph straight changeup.  

For the Champs' offense, Kevin Jimenez (2018, Nogales HS, AZ) led the way going 2-2 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.  Nicholas Gonzales (2017, Cienega HS, AZ) stayed inside the ball well going 2-3 with 1 triple, 2 runs scored and 1 RBI.  Jacob Federico (2017, Tuscon Magnet HS, AZ) showed good bat speed and loose, strong wrists as he went 1-2 with 1 triple, 1 run scored and 1 RBI.  Alex Kelch (2018, Pcjted-Tucson HS, AZ) used a fluid stroke to go 1-2 with 1 triple, 1 RBI and 1 walk.  

For the Legends, Jackson Peterson (2017, Warren HS, IL) went 1-1 with 1 walk and Louisville commit, Jacob Snider (2016, Central HS, IL), went 1-2.

AZ T-Rex Baseball Club defeated the ASD Bulldogs 5-3 to stay undefeated and improve to 3-0 in the tournament.  Mitchell Allen (2016, Boulder Creek HS, AZ) led the way for T-Rex going 2-3 with 1 home run, 1 double, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.  Zach Baptist (2017, Boulder Creek HS, AZ) added in a 4-4 day with 1 run scored and 1 RBI.  Jacob Gonzalez (2017, Chaparral HS, AZ) also showed well going 3-3 with 1 double and Scott Mehan (2017, Cactus Shadows HS, AZ) went 1-2 with 1 double, 1 run scored, 1 RBI and 1 walk.  

Blake Paugh (2017, Chaparral HS, AZ) started and earned the win for T-Rex going 5 1/3 innings allowing 3 runs, 2 earned, on 5 hits and 2 walks, while striking out 5.  Paugh featured a 80-84 mph fastball and mixed in a high 60's curveball in the outing.  

For the Bulldogs, Cooper Uhl (2016, Trabuco Hills HS, CA) went 1-2 with 1 double, 1 run scored and 1 RBI.  Kenny Oyama (2017, El Toro HS, CA) went 2-3 with 1 run scored and 1 walk from the leadoff spot and Hunter Jump (2017, Mater Dei HS, CA) went 1-2 with 1 RBI and 1 walk.

Southern Nevada Baseball cruised to the 9-1 victory, defeating the Arizona Diamondbacks Academy.

Jack Kirvin (2018, Bishop Gorman HS, NV) led the way for the Southern Nevada, going 1-3 with a double, two runs scored, and two RBIs.  Bradley Doerpinghaus (2016, Bishop Gorman HS, NV) also contributed by going 1-2 with a triple, two runs scored and two RBIs in the contest.  Gino Sabey (2017, Centennial HS, NV) went 1-3 with a single, one run and one RBI.

On the mound, Dominic Grant (2016, Faith Lutheran HS, NV) pitched a complete game, giving up one earned run on just four hits, and struck out 12 in six complete innings of work.  He showed good command of all of his pitches and was around the plate with a fastball that peaked at 77 mph.

For the Diamondbacks, Alec Steinhilber (2017, Brophy College Preparatory, AZ) and Thomas Cazares (2017, Hamilton HS, AZ) each contributed to the offense with a double a piece.


Offense leads Nighthawks over Warriors

The Colton Nighthawks White defeated the Warriors Baseball Academy 2018's 7-4 to improve their record to 2-1.  Brennan Morales (2016, Tahquitz HS, CA) led the way going 1-3 with 2 RBI and leadoff man, Christian Koss (2016, John W. North HS, CA), added in a 1-3 day with 1 run scored, 2 RBI and 1 walk.  Cole Cardey (2016, Undecided, CA) also showed well going 2-3 with 1 run scored and 1 stolen base.  Aaron Orozco (2017, Torrance HS, CA) kept the big offensive day going as he went 1-3 with 1 double and 1 run scored.  

Matt Tomazin (2016, Temescal Canyon HS, CA) earned the win for the Nighthawks going 4 innings allowing 4 runs, 3 earned, on 4 hits and 6 walks, while striking out 6.  Tomazin hid the ball well and showed a quick arm with his 79-82/83 mph fastball and a 68-70/71 mph curveball.  

For the Warriors, Jack Silverman (2018, Desert Mountain HS, AZ) showed good bat speed at the plate that helped him generate big raw power as he went 1-2 with 1 double and 1 run scored.  Jacob Robson (2018, Mountain Ridge HS, AZ) went 2-3 and Damien McElroy (2018, Raymond S Kellis HS, AZ) went 1-1 with 2 RBI.  

520 Elite defeated The Lot 3-1

The 520 Elite defeated The Lot, 3-1, thanks to a three-run fifth inning that put The Lot in the lead and on to victory.

Kenny Pesano (2016, Salpointe Catholic, AZ) and Liam Rosebeck (2016, Empire HS, AZ) each led the way for the Elite, going 2-3 at the plate.  Pesano finished with two doubles, one run and one RBI, and Rosebeck also contributed with a double, single, and two RBIs in the contest.  Branden Hance (2016, Salpointe Catholic, AZ) pitched a complete game, giving up one earned run on eight hits, and struck out three.  He had a fastball that averaged 77-81 mph, and topped out at 82 mph.

For The Lot, Michael Hairell (2016, Canyon HS, CA) went 2-3 as well in the game, with two singles and one run scored.


Tuscon wins over Arizona in pitcher's duel

The Tuscon Bombers defeated Arizona RBI 1-0 to pick up their first win of the tournament.  Mason Myhre (2017, Canyon Del Oro HS, AZ) started and earned the win for the Bombers going 7 shutout innings allowing just 2 hits and 4 walks, while recording 9 strikeouts.  While on the mound, Myhre used a 71-76/77 mph fastball with a 64-68 mph curveball.  

Offensively for the Bombers, Jake Engel (2016, Ironwood Ridge HS, AZ) went 1-2 with 1 RBI and Michael Santorelli (2017, Canyon Del Oro HS, AZ) went 1-2 with 1 run scored and 1 stolen base.  

For Arizona, Kevin Ortega (2017, Tolleson Union HS, AZ) took the tough-luck-loss going 6 innings allowing 1 unearned run on 5 hits and 2 walks, while striking out 11.  Ortega relied on his 74-78/80 mph fastball and a 57-63 curveball.

The Wildfire Baseball Underclass defeated the MVP Red Sox 6-5 to pick up their first win of the tournament.  John Navas (2017, Mesquite HS, AZ) earned the win for the Wildfire going 3 innings allowing 3 runs, 2 earned, on 4 hits and no walks, while recording 4 strikeouts.  Navas used a 65-68/69 mph fastball with a 59-60 mph curveball.  He also had a strong day at the plate going 1-2 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI.

Phenom 16U Elite defeated Venom 6-4 to improve to 2-1 in the tournament.  Alabama State commit, Kobe Lopez (2016, Archbishop Edward Mccarthy HS, FL), led the way offensively for Phenom as he went 1-3 with 1 double, 2 runs scored and 2 stolen bases.  Jonathan Hernandez (2017, La Habra HS, CA) also showed well going 2-3 with 1 RBI and 1 stolen base.  

Christian Arteaga (2016, Azusa HS, CA) started and earned the win for Phenom going 5 strong innings allowing just 1 run on 3 hits and 5 walks, while recording 5 strikeouts.  While on the mound, Arteaga featured a 66-73/74 mph fastball with a 61-66 mph curveball.

For the Nighthawks, Brett Kendall (2016, Hemet, CA) led the team with two singles and a RBI. Clayton Ellis (2017, San Jacinto, CA) connected with two singles and a run, and Gregory Ellis (2016, San Jacinto, CA) helped with a RBI single and two runs. Norman Powers (2017, Hemet, CA) roped a RBI single as well.

Alex McKeehan (2016, Colton, CA) went the longest for the Nighthawks with five innings of work. He lets one earned run score with five hits to fall. He walked four and struck out four. He maxed out the gun at 76 mph.

The Generals only collected one hit from Max Johansen (2018, Chandler, AZ) off his single. The team walked five times to get runners on base.

Hayden Baker (2018, Chandler, AZ) led the pitching duties with six innings of work. He allowed two runs that were unearned and six hits. He walked one batter and struck out seven on his 76 mph fastball. 

For the Warriors, B Scott led the team with a pair of singles. Alex Moore (2016, Santee, CA) contributed a RBI single, and Noah Levin (2018, Santa Monica, CA) helped with a double.

Zachary Lew (2018, La Mirada, CA) led the Phenom with two singles and a double with three RBIs and a run. Alexander Williams (2018, Castro Valley, CA) roped two singles and a RBI with a run. Skyler De Los Reyes (2016, Upland, CA) connected with for a two RBI double and scored twice. Sean Osceola (2018, Okeechobee, FL) added a RBI single. 

Osceola pitched the full game with six innings. He did not let an earned run score. He let two hits fall with one walk and eight strike outs. He maxed out the radar at 80 mph. He has a good extension out from with a long arm action. He has a smooth delivery with sound mechanics. 

For the Birds, Dylan Aronne (2017, San Juan Capistrano, CA) led the team with two doubles and a run. Ethan Nicholl (2017, Orange, CA) hit the second hit with a single.

Antoine Mistico (2017, Scottsdale, AZ) led the Diamondbacks with two singles and a triple with two RBIs and a run. Clay Wasson (2018, Phoenix, AZ) was pinned with two RBIs and a run. Frank Allman (2016, Phoenix, AZ) and Jacob Atencio (2016, Queen Creek, AZ) added a single and a run. 

Jason Nelson (2017, Phoenix, AZ) pitched most of the game with five innings. He scored two innings with five hits. He walked one and three strike outs. He maxed out the gun at 79 mph.

In a pitching duel, AZ T-Rex Baseball Club comes out on top of ABD.  Joseph Montenegro (2017, Jesuit College, TX) threw a complete game. He struck out eight, allowed two hits, and one walk. His fastball was recorded in the lower 80's and reached an impressive 86 mph. Mitchell Allen (2016, Boulder Creek, AZ) led the offense with two singles. Scott Mehan (2017, Cactus Shadows, AZ) tripled in two runs.  Zach Baptisit (2017, Boulder Creek, AZ) went 1 for 2 with an RBI.

Noah Talas (2017, Santiago, CA) pitched for ABD. In his six innings of work, he fanned seven while allowing two walks.

The Colton Nighthawks defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks Academy 6-0 to improve to 2-1 in the tournament.  Zachary Flios (2016, Murrieta Mesa HS, CA) started and earned the win for the Nighthawks going 2 strong innings allowing just 1 hit and 1 walk, while striking out 2.  While on the mound, Flios used a 72-77/78 mph fastball with a 64-66 mph curveball.  Cade Krikemo (2016, Martin Luther King HS, CA) impressed out of the bullpen firing 3 1-hit innings and walking 2, while striking out 8.  Kirkemo relied on a 79-83/84 mph fastball and a 70-71 mph curveball while on the hill.  

Offensively for the Nighthawks, Nate Stillnovich (2016, Murrieta Mesa HS, CA) and Logan Dietrich () each went 1-1 with 1 double.  Leadoff man, Andrew Watts (2016, Eleanor Roosevelt HS, CA), went 1-2 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI.  Brenden Bergen (2016, Arlington HS, CA) also showed well going 1-2 with 1 RBI at the plate.

The CrabFest All Americans defeated the Performance Plus Reds 9-8 thanks to a 4 run top of the 6th inning.  DaVonn Griffin (2016, Hammond HS, MD) showed good bat speed and a short, compact swing to go 3-4 with 1 double, 2 runs scored, 2 RBI and 2 stolen bases.  Zach Seal (2016, Georgetown Preparatory HS, VA) also showed well going 2-4 with 1 double, 2 runs scored, 1 RBI and 2 stolen bases.  John Fuqua (2016, Indian River HS, VA) added in a 2-3 day with 1 triple and 3 runs scored.  Colin Bergh (2016, Sussex Technical HS, DE) showed lightower power at the plate going 1-4 with 2 RBI and Grant Keller (2016, Midloathian HS, VA) got good extension and showed power potential as he went 1-3 with 1 double, 1 run scored, 1 RBI and 1 walk.  

Will Pyne (2016, Dematha Catholic HS, MD) earned the win tossing 4 innings allowing 4 runs, 1 earned, on 4 hits and 1 walk, while striking out 5.  Pyne used primarily fastballs on the mound, which sat between 72-75 mph and topped out at 76. 

For the Reds, Chase Brigham (2016, Hamilton HS, AZ) went 2-3 and Alberto Neito (2017, Casa Grande Union HS, AZ) went 1-1 with 1 run scored, 1 RBI and 2 walks.

Jordan Suarez (2017, Phoenix, AZ) only had one at bat but knocked a two RBI single and later scored to lead the Athletics. Braden Fendley (2017, Flagstaff, AZ) roped a RBI triple, and Channy Ortiz (2017, Pheonix, AZ) helped with a RBI double and scored a run.

Noah Huerta (2017, Peoria, AZ) tossed the longest and most effectively with 3.2 innings. He let one run score five five hits. He walked one and struck out one. He ran up the gun to 78 mph. He competes on the mound with throwing pitches around the plate.

Josh Haley (2017, Richard Gahr HS, CA) started and won the game for the Orioles going 5 innings allowing just 1 run on 1 hit and 2 walks, while striking out 9.  Haley got good extension out front and threw easy with his 78-81/82 mph fastball and mixed in a 62-67 mph curveball.

The SACSN National Team defeated the SBG Wahoos 6-2 to improve to 2-0 in the tournament.  Duke commit, Matt Mervis (2016, Georgetown Preparatory HS, MD), led the offense for SACSN going  2-3 with 1 double, 1 run scored and 2 RBI.  Michigan commit, Jack Weisenburger (2016, Rockford HS, MI), showed good lift in his swing going 1-2 with 1 triple, 1 run scored, 1 RBI and 1 walk.  Daniel Bakst (2016, Poly Prep Country Day HS, NY) stayed inside the ball well and used a short, compact swing to go 1-2 with 1 double, 1 run scored, 1 RBI and 1 walk.  

Chase Sandman (2016, Mountain Ridge HS, AZ) started and earned the win for SACSN going 3 innings allowing 2 runs on 6 hits and 1 walk, while recording 4 strikeouts.  While on the mound, Sandman used an 80-83/85 mph fastball and effectively mixed in a 68-71 mph curveball.  

For the Wahoos, Matthew Garcia (2017, Bishop Alemany HS, CA) went 1-2 with 1 RBI and Ryan Ashton (2017, Viewpoint HS, CA) went 1-1 with 1 RBI and 1 walk.

The Southern California Bombers 2016 defeated the Colton Nighthawks White 10-0 to improve their record to 2-0 in the tournament.  Isaac Meza (2016, Birmingham HS, CA) started and earned the win for the Bombers going 3 shutout innings allowing just 1 hit and 1 walk, while recording 3 strikeouts.  Meza changed speeds and showed good hip rotation on the mound as he featured a 78-82 mph fastball with armside run and also mixed in a 68-70 mph curveball and a 68-72 mph changeup. 

Offensively for the Bombers, Humberto Castaneda (2016, Warren HS, CA) had a big game going 2-3 with 1 triple, 1 double, 1 run scored and 3 RBI.  Liam Sellers (2016, Damien HS, CA) also showed well going 1-1 with 1 triple, 1 run scored and 3 RBI.  Drake Wood (2016, Foothill HS, CA) made hard contact and showed power potential going 2-2 with 1 double, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.  Andy Thomas (2016, Murrieta Mesa HS, CA) added in a 1-2 day with 1 double, 1 run scored and 1 walk.  

For the Nighthawks, Tim Corez (2016, Tahquitz HS, CA) went 1-1 with 1 walk.  

Trosky Takes 3-0 Shutout Win

Trosky Baseball pitched a shutout and took a 3-0 win over the GCG Orange County. The Trosky offense was able to take advantage of three GCG fielding errors and was able to double up on the hit count to knock in six team hits from four different players. Aaron Roose (2017, Paraclete HS, CA) powered the Trosky offensive attack after logging half of Trosky's hits, finishing a perfect 3-3 with an RBI. 

Casey Legumina (2016, Basha HS, AZ) took home the win for Trosky after tossing the first four innings of the game. Legumina allowed no hits or runs on 56 pitches while walking one, striking out five and logging a strike on 72 percent of his pitches with a fastball averaging 86 mph and topping out at 89 mph. 

RBI and So Cal NTT end in 2-2 tie

The Arizona RBI and So Cal NTT ended in a 2-2 tie.

For the RBI, Jesse Mendoza (2017, Tolleson Union HS, AZ) led the way, going 2-3 with two singles and one RBI in the game.  Carlos Bracamontes (2017, Cesar Chavez HS, AZ) also provided to the offense by going 1-2 with a single and one run scored.  Mendoza pitched five complete innings of work, giving up one run on two hits and struck out eight in the contest.  He had a fastball that topped out at 74 mph, and mixed in a handful of off-speed pitches.

For the So Cal NTT, Justin Willis (2017, St. Joseph HS, NJ) led the way going 1-3 with a single, one run scored and one RBI in the game.  Michael Borg (2016, La Habra HS, CA) contributed with a double on the day.  JonJon Conahan (2017, St. Joseph Regional HS, NJ) pitched four complete innings, giving up one run on three hits, and struck out four.  He had a fastball that peaked at 77 mph, and mixed in a curveball and a changeup for his off-speed pitches.


Brown, Show Take 1-0 Win

Cade Brown (2018, Cathedral Catholic HS, CA) had a standout game from the pitcher's mound and the Sand Diego Show Blue leaned on the defense to take a 1-0 win over the Team Avenue Aces. Brown tossed a complete game from the mound, throwing only 64 pitches and allowing three hits and no runs or walks while striking out six and logging a strike on an astounding 80 percent of his pitches. Brown used a five-pitch rotation featuring a cutter averaging 73 mph and a fastball averaging 73 mph and topping out at 75 mph. 

Hits were hard to come by in the game with both teams combining for only seven hits as Michael Pendergast (2018, Cathedral Catholic HS, CA) logged the only multi-hit game of the day for the Show. Pendergast finished 2-3 with a double and what would prove to be the game-winning RBI in the top of the sixth. 

Warriors Coast to 14-2 Victory

The Team California Warriors scored early and often, putting up five runs in the first and four in the second and third as they rout the Blue Wave 14-2 in four innings. The Warrior offense knocked in 17 hits from ten different players as Trevin Esquerra (2016, Patrick Henrey HS, CA) led the way at the plate. Esquerra powered his way to a perfect game at the plate, finishing 3-3 with a game-high four RBIs, two runs scored, a triple and a home run. Joe Ortiz (2016, Pacifica HS, CA) added in his own perfect batting day for the Warriors, logging a 3-3 game at the plate with one RBI, three runs scored, two stolen bases and a double. 

Robert Gonzalez (2017, Redlands East Valley HS, CA) picked up the win for the Warriors after tossing the first three innings, allowing no hits or runs on 37 pitches while walking one, striking out five and logging a strike on 70 percent of his pitches. Gonzalez showed control all around the plate with his pitches and a well-working arm on a fastball averaging 77 mph and topping out at 79 mph. 

Mountain West Blanks Warriors 4-0

Mountain West jumped on the board first, scoring all four of their runs in the first four innings and leaning on their defense to take a 4-0 win over the EJ Sports Warriors. Mountain West knocked in eight hits from six different players as Hagen Holmstead (2016, American Fork HS, UT) gave a consistent bat to the offense. Holmstead logged a 2-3 game at the plate with a run scored and a double. 

Will Jensen (2016, Cottonwood HS, UT) took home the win for Mountain West for four stellar innings on the mound to start out the game. Jensen tossed 43 pitches and allowed one hit and no runs or walks while striking out five and logging a strike on 77 percent of his pitches with a fastball averaging 80 mph and topping out at 82 mph. 

Alexander Pitches Shutout Win

The Warriors Baseball Academy 2017's got a standout game from pitcher Ryan Alexander (2016, Sandra Day O'Connor HS, AZ) as they shutout the Colorado Travelers to pick up an 8-0 win. Alexander tossed a complete game from the mound for the Warriors, allowing five hits and no runs while walking three, striking out eight and logging a strike on 66 percent of his pitches using a four-pitch rotation featuring a curveball and a fastball averaging 77 mph and topping out at 81 mph. 

Alexander showed that he could do more than pitch with a stellar day at the plate, leading the Warrior's offense to nine team hits from six different players with a perfect 3-3 game while knocking three RBIs, two runs scored, two doubles and a triple. Villente Garcia (2017, St. Mary's HS, AZ) added in a 2-4 game at the plate with a game-high three RBIs thanks to both of his hits going for doubles. 

Seven-Run First Gives Clippers Blowout Win

The West Coast Clippers 2017 wasted no time taking command of the game with a seven-run burst in the first inning and didn't look back as they coasted to a 12-2 win over Turn 2 Baseball. The Clippers' offense knocked in ten hits from seven different players with Michael Galvan (2017, Paloma Valley HS, CA), Adrian Collazo (2017, Ramona HS, CA), and Ryan Schmidt (2017, Vista Murrieta HS, CA) provided a powerful trio of bats to lead the offense. Galvan and Collazo both put together 2-4 games at the plate with Galvan knocking in a game-high three RBIs, two runs scored, and two doubles with Collazo logging two RBIs and two runs scored of his own. Schmidt powered his way to a 2-3 game at the plate with two RBIs, two runs scored, and a walk. 

Chris Bryant (2017, Ramona HS, CA) picked up the win for the Clippers for his four innings on the mound to start out the game. Bryant allowed four hits and two earned runs on 59 pitches while walking one and striking out four with a four-pitch rotation featuring a fastball averaging 79 mph and topping out at 84 mph. 

GBG and Lasorda End in 4-4 Tie

Eddie Cervantes (2016, Long Beach, CA) led the GBG offense with a pair of singles. Dennis Hildebrandt (2017, Corona, CA) tallied the only RBI off his single. David Magallenez (2016, Riverside, CA) roped a single and scored twice in the game. Ryan Carpenter (2016, Tustin, CA) connected with a triple and later scored.

Jacob Baldauf (2017, Los Alamitos, CA) led the pitching staff with three innings of work. He let one run and one hit occur. He walked four batters and struck out two on his 82 mph fastball.

Trevor Hauver (2017, Chandler, AZ) led Lasorda with a single and a double while plating a RBI and a run. Sean Hahn (2017, Elfrida, AZ) added a RBI single, and Kobie Tinsley (2016, Scottsdale, AZ) connected with a single and later scoring.

Errors Hurt Nighthawks in 10-2 Loss

The Southern California Bombers 2017 defeated the Colton Nighthawks 10-2 in six innings.

Adam Guerrero (2017, San Dimas, CA) led the Bombers offense with a pair of singles with a RBI and a run. Kenji Hnderson (2017, La Verne, CA) helped with a two RBI single, and Nick Hagedorn (2017, Sedalia, MO) roped a RIB triple. Jorge Arellano (2017, Cudahy, CA) and Gavin Jones (2017, Sedalia, MO) helped with each adding a RBI single and later scoring.

Zachary Pettway (2017, Long Beach, CA) led the pitching duties for his team by not allowing a run with four hits. He walked just one batter and struck out four. He maxed out the radar at 82 mph. He throws all pitches around the plate while staying tall on his backside.

Colton Combs (2017, Rancho Cucamonga, CA) led the Nighthawks with a pair of singles and a run. Travis Kuhn (2017, Norco, CA) roped a RBI single of this team. Jessee McGonigal (2017, Fontana, CA) knocked a single and later scored. 

Kevin Palm (2016, Menifee, CA) worked the longest for his team while on the mound with four innings. He let two hits fall with two earned runs. He walked three batters and struck out five while touching 83 mph. He has a quick arm with a solid arm action. He has a late breaking curveball that compliments his good commanding fastball.


Phenom One Hit Red Sox in 13 Run Win

The Phenom Texas defeated the MVP Red Sox 14-1 in four innings.

Donovan Langston (2017, Frisco, TX) led the Phenom offense with a pair of singles with a RBI and a pair of runs. Julien Ly (2017, Sanger, TX) was pinned with three RBIs off his triple and scoring twice. James Jeffrey Vance Janco (2017, McKinney, TX) added a single and a triple with a RBI and two runs. Eddie Quezada (2016, Moreno Valley, CA) knocked a RBI single and later scored, and Jerry Quemeda (2016, Upland, CA) roped a single and a double and a RBI and a run.

Connor Hughes (2017, Sherman, TX) was the most effective pitcher with 2.1 innings of work. He did not let a run or a hit occur. He walked three batters and struck out three. He maxed out the gun at 79 mph. He has an online delivery with a good hip rotation. He has an extended release with a long arm circle in the back.

Brendan Morrison (2017, Malibu, CA) was the only one to pick up a hit and a RBI.


Birds Take 11-6 Win in Shootout

The So Cal Birds and the BBC Generals put on an offensive showcase with 14 combined runs being scored in the final three innings before the Birds took home the 11-6 win after time was called. The Birds offense knocked in ten hits from seven different players as Jackson Lyon (2018, Woodbridge HS, CA) and Nick Hansen (2018, Orange Lutheran HS, CA) provided the offensive spark with twin 2-3 games at the plate. Both players picked up two RBIs and a double as Lyon added in a run scored with Hansen crossing the plate twice. Ty Pohlmann (2018, Campo Verde HS, AZ) powered the Generals' offense to six team hits with two of his own, picking up an RBI, a run scored, a stolen base and a double.

Will Cohen (2017, Arnold O. Beckman HS, CA) took home the win for the Birds for his three innings on the mound to start out the game. Cohen allowed one hit and one unearned run on 52 pitches while walking one and striking out three with a fastball averaging 67 mph and topping out at 70 mph. 

SACSN National Team Blanks Heat 10-0

The SACSN National Team used a huge five-run second inning to take control of the game and blank that AZ Heat 10-0 in five innings. SACSN doubled up the Heat hits and forced three Heat fielding errors as they racked up 10 team RBIs. The SACSN's offense knocked in six hits from five different players with all but one going for extra bases. Nicholas Quintana (2016, Arbor View HS, NV), a Southern California commit, sparked the SACSN offense with a 2-3 game at the plate while picking up a game-high three RBIs, a run scored, a double and a triple. 

Logan Boyer (2016, Hamilton HS, AZ) took home the win for the SACSN National team for his three innings on the mound to start out the game. Boyer tossed 54 pitches and allowed two hits and no runs while walking three and striking out five with a 84 mph and topping out at 87 mph. 

Warriors top Colorado

Team California Warriors plated 16 in their win over Colorado Travelers.  Russell Grant (2016, Oceanside, CA) led the attack with three hits including a double and a triple.  He also drove in four runs.  Kevin Avila (2017, Kofa, AZ) went 2 for 3 and plated a run.  Bruno Ruiz (2016, Calexico Community Day, CA) singled in two runs.  Chance Hroch (2016, Vista Murrieta, CA) pitched in with a single and two RBI's.  Jonathan Ratcliff (2016, Oceanside, CA) went 1 for 2 with two RBI's. Damien Rinehart (2017, Kofa, CA) threw two innings. He fanned six and walked one.

Neither team could put a run up on the board as GBG Marucci Navy 2016/17 tied with San Diego Show Blue.  Zack Prajzner (2018, San Marcos, CA) threw the complete game for San Diego. He fanned 11 while allowing just two hits and two walks.  Jose Cerda (2017, Montgomery, CA) and Bradley Polinsky (2018, Cathedral Catholic, CA) both had two singles in the tie.

Jack Alrich (2017, Oaks Christian, CA) started for the Navy.  In four innings, he fanned two and gave up two hits.  His fastball was in the high 70's and touched 83 mph. Seth Stone (2017, Sierra Canyon, CA) came in next.  He struck out three and walked two in three innings of work. 

Reds Coast to Shutout Win

The North Coast Reds 16U jumped out to an early lead with four runs in the first inning and never looked back in a  10-0 shutout win over Venom in five innings, limiting the Venom offense to only one hit. The Reds offense knocked in nine hits from six different players as Casey Schwitters () powered the way on offense with a perfect 2-2 game at the plate, picking up a game-high three RBIs, a run scored and a triple. 

Zachary Chalmers () picked up the win for the Reds for his two innings on the mound to start out the game. Chalmers allowed no hits or runs on 41 pitches while walking one and striking out four with a fastball averaging 84 mph and topping out at 86 mph. Chalmers added in a solid day at the plate on top of his win on the mound, finishing 2-3 with two RBIs, a run scored, and a stolen base. 

Marucci tops Reds

GBG Marucci Blue drove in seven runs in their win over Performance Plus Reds. Austin Schell (2017, Arnold O. Beckman, CA) went 2 for 4 with a double and drove in two runs.  Jacob Springman (2016, Redonda Union, CA) pitched in with two singles and two RBI's.  Both Zach Kaminkow (2017, Simi Valley, CA) and Tabak had two singles each in the win.  Riley Livingston (2016, Loyola, CA) did hist part with two hits including a double. Ryan Demarest (2016, Loyola, CA) threw two innings. He struck out five while allowing two walks.

His fastball was between 80-83 mph and touched 84.   Hunter Isbell (2017, Helix, CA) went 2 for 3 in the win.  Mickey Moniak (2016, La Costa Canyon, CA) drove in a run with a single.

Romero, Champs Pull Past Elite

The Tucson Champs got a standout game at the plate from Brian Romero (2018, Canyon Del Oro HS, AZ) and powered past the So Cal Elite to pick up a 5-1 win. The Champs were able to take advantage of four fielding errors form the Elite to help turn the tide against a closer-than-expected hit count of 8-5 and an Elite defense that turned five double plays. Romero powered the Champs on the offensive side of the ball, finishing the game a perfect 2-2 at the plate with a game-high three RBIs, a stolen base and a sacrifice fly. 

Ryon Craig (2017, Cienega HS, AZ) took home the win for the Champs after tossing a complete game from the mound. Craig allowed five hits and one earned run on 117 pitches while walking two, striking out six and logging a strike on 67 percent of his pitches with a five-pitch rotation featuring a curveball, slider, and a fastball averaging 74 mph and topping out at 79 mph. 

Bulldogs offense explodes with 18 hits

Matthew Lucas (2016, Linfield Christian, CA) went a perfect 3 for 3.  Cameron Landreth (2016, Westchester, CA) pitched in with three singles.  Isaiah Davis (2016, Wilmer Amina Carter, CA) and Alonzo Billips (2016, Loyola, CA) had two singles each. Prospects Blank Warriors 5-0

The Prospects National Team got on the scoreboard first with a run in the first inning and sealed the game with a three-run spurt in the sixth to take a 5-0 shutout win over the Warriors Baseball Academy 2018's. The Prospects' offense barely won the hit count 5-4, but was able to take advantage of five Warrior fielding errors. Hunter Parks (2016, Brophy College Preparatory HS, AZ) and Najee Gaskins (2016, Cienega HS, AZ) powered the Prospect offense with twin 2-3 games at the plate with Parks picking up two RBIs, a run scored and a stolen base and Gaskins adding in an RBI, a run scored, a double and a triple of his own. 

James Ferguson (2016, Fort Worth County Day HS, TX) took home the win for the Prospects after tossing the first five innings on the mound. Ferguson threw 76 pitches and allowed two hits and no runs or walks while striking out ten batters and logging a strike percentage of 67 percent with a three-pitch rotation featuring a curveball, change-up and a fastball averaging 80 mph and topping out at 83 mph. 

Northwest Powers to 6-2 Win

The Lot jumped out to an early lead with two runs in the top of the first, but Team Northwest put together a run of their own, putting up five runs in the bottom of the first and held The Lot scoreless the rest of the way to take a 6-2 win. The Northwest offense knocked in nine hits from six different players as Keenan Milligan (2016, Tumwater HS, WA) provided the power with a perfect game at the plate. Milligan logged a 3-3 game with an RBI, a run scored, two doubles, and a stolen base. Jordan Mambaje (2017, Sandy HS, OR), an Oregon State commit, added in a 2-3 game at the plate with two runs scored, an RBI and a strikeout for Team Northwest. 

Jared Maxfield (2017, Mountlake Terrace HS, WA) picked up the win for Team Northwest for his four and two-thirds innings on the mound to start out the game. Maxfield tossed 67 pitches and allowed one hit and no runs while walking three and striking out four.

In a high scoring game, Play Hard Angels 16U came out on top of CBA Wave.  Gary McCoy (2017, Junipero Serra, CA) led the attack with two singles and two RBI's.  Nicholas DiFiori (2017, Bishop Amat, CA) pitched in with two hits including a double.  Lead-off hitter Cal Hodgins (2016, Simi Valley,CA) had two doubles and drove in a run. Brandon Louis (2016, South Pasadena, CA) went 2 for 3 with an RBI.  Jason Ajamian (2016, St Francis, CA) singled in two runs.

AZ Athletics 2017 could not hold their early lead as Rijo Athletics beat them 7-6. Kevin Nakahara (2016, Lake Washington, WA) drove in three runs with a double.  Jared Whitman (2017, Lynnwood, WA) pitched in with a single and an RBI. He also threw 5 2/3 innings. He fanned six while allowing two hits. His fastball was between 81-84 mph and topped out at 85.

AJ Nelums (2017, Oceanside, CA) led the offense by tripling in two runs.  Emilio Escobedo (2017, Rancho Bernardo, CA) went 2 for 3 as did Brendan Siriani (2017, Carlsbad, CA). 520 Elite Blank Blackdogs 4-0

The 520 Elite blanked the Cairas Blackdogs and took a 4-0 shutout win behind a balanced offensive attack. Nine different players all knocked in a hit to log nine total team hits for the Elite with Michael Forte (2016, Salpointe Catholic HS, AZ) powering his hit for a triple and an RBI. The Blackdogs were able to get runners on base, but were unable to score after leaving 10 runners stranded. 

Cody Treatch (2016, Mountain View HS, AZ) took home the win for the Elite after tossing the first five innings of the game. Treatch tossed 87 pitches and allowed two hits and no runs while walking one and striking out two with a fastball averaging 76 mph and topping out at 80 mph.

ABD Bulldogs came from behind to beat AZ Pro. Alex Lopez (2016, Shadow Hills, CA) did it all in the win.  He had two singles and drove in two runs.  Parker White (2016, Aliso Niguel, CA) pitched in with two doubles.  Zack Bowman (2016, Aliso Niguel, CA) helped out with two hits including a double and two RBI's. Lopez also pitched ix innings.  He struck out seven while allowing three walks.  He threw his fastball in the low 80's and touched 84 mph.

Turn 2 Baseball jumped out to an early three-run lead in the first inning and held the Texas Rangers Scout Team scoreless with only one hit to take an 8-0 win. Turn 2 knocked in seven team hits from six different players with Nicholas Medina (2015, John F. Kennedy HS, CA) leading the way. Lions Dominate in 12-1 Win

The Mountain Lions wasted no time getting the lead, putting up three runs in the first inning and rattling off all 12 runs unanswered as they take a dominating 12-1 win over the So Cal Waves in five innings. The Mountain Lions' offense knocked in 12 hits by seven different players as Devin Ray (2016, Mountain Ridge HS, AZ) and Alex Roth (2016, Mountain Ridge HS, AZ) powered the offense with 3-4 games at the plate. Ray finished with two RBIs, three runs scored, a triple and a game-high three stolen bases as Roth logged two runs scored, an RBI and a double.

Josh Sieglitz (2016, Mountain Ridge HS, AZ) took home the win for the Mountain Lions for his two innings on the mound to start out the game, allowing no hits or runs on 29 pitches while walking one and striking out one. Sieglitz showed good command on both sides of the plate with a smooth, online delivery of an aggressive, heavy sinking fastball averaging 78 mph and topping out at 81 mph. 

Aggies Escape Lasorda 5-4

Aggies Baseball jumped out to an early lead over Lasorda University, but had to hold of a furious three-run rally in the fourth inning to take the 5-4 victory. The Aggies' offense knocked in four hits from four different players as both Braxton Allen (2017, Mountain View HS, AZ) and Francisco Cota (2016, San Luis HS, CA) turned their singles into two RBIs. 

Danny Cervantes (2016, St. Francis Central Coast Catholic HS, CA) picked up the win for the Aggies for his two innings on the mound to start out the game. Cervantes tossed 44 pitches and allowed one hit and no runs while walking three and striking out three with a fastball averaging 81 mph and topping out at 83 mph. 

Thunder Down Slammers 3-1

The Canyon Thunder took down the Slammers Asnicar 3-1 after putting up the first two runs of the game in the second and third innings. The Thunder offense knocked in seven hits from five different players with Nick DiCarlo (2017, Arcadia HS, AZ) leading the way. DiCarlo had a 2-3 game at the plate with two runs scored and wo stolen bases while logging an outstanding defensive day with his three double plays. Sean Kelsen (2016, Douglas County HS, CO) sparked the Slammers' offense to six team hits with two of his own while picking up a RBI. 

Roy Washburn (2017, Copper Canyon HS, AZ) took home the win for the Thunder after tossing a complete game from the mound. Washburn threw 81 pitches in his seven innings of work, allowing six hits and one earned run while walking one, striking out four and logging a strike on 72 percent of his pitches with a fastball averaging 73 mph and topping out at 76 mph.

The 5 Tool Athletics defeated the Wildfire Baseball Underclass 6-5 to improve to 2-0 in the tournament.  James Rutledge (2016, Torrey Pines HS, CA) helped led the Athletics' offense going 2-4 with 1 double and 1 RBI.  Kooper Christ (2016, La Costa Canyon HS, CA) also showed well going 2-4 with 1 run scored and 2 RBI.  Leadoff man, Bucky Hawk (2016, La Costa Canyon HS, CA), added in a 1-2 day with 1 RBI and 1 walk.  

Dane Loegering (2016, Carlsbad HS, CA) started and won the game for the Athletics tossing 6 innings allowing 5 runs, 4 earned, on 5 hits and 4 walks, while striking out 7.  While on the mound, Loegering featured a 75-77/78 mph fastball and effectively mixed in a 66-70 mph curveball.

Horn K's 7 as All Star Baseball Academy wins

The All Star Baseball Academy 17U defeated Venom 7-0 to improve to pick up their first win in the tournament.  Jacob Horn (2016, Cactus Shadows HS, AZ) started and won the game for the All Star Baseball Academy as he tossed 5 shutout innings allowing only 2 hits and no walks, while striking out 7 batters.  Horn changed speeds and was around the plate with his 73-78 mph fastball, a 71-73 mph slider and a 62-69/70 mph curveball that flashed potential.  

For the All Star Baseball Academy offense, Lucas led the way going 3-3 with 1 triple, 1 run scored and 2 RBI.  Clint Howard (2016, Apollo HS, AZ) added in a 1-3 with 1 double, 1 run scored and 1 RBI day at the plate.  Dorman also showed well going 2-3 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI.  Robinson went 1-3 with 1 double, 1 run scored and 1 stolen base.

CBA Marucci 2017 tied the Warriors Baseball Academy 2018's 2-2.

For the Marucci offense, Aaron Greenfield (2016, Millikan, CA) showed a fluid stroke and power potential to go with a quiet hitting approach as he went 1-1 with 1 triple, 1 run scored, 1 RBI and 2 wakls.  Anthony Marquez (2017, Cypress HS, CA) went 1-3 with 1 double and Sean Korkmaz (2016, New Harbor HS, CA) added in a 1-3 day with 1 RBI.  

Cebellos started the game for CBA going 5 innings allowing 2 runs on 4 hits and 3 walks, while striking out 6 batters.  Cebellos featured a 71-75/76 mph fastball to go with a 68-70/71 mph slider.

The Phenom 16U Elite defeated the North Coast Reds 16U 4-0 to pick up their first win of the tournament.  Alabama State commit, Kobe Lopez (2016, Archbishop Edward Mccarthy HS, FL), used a fluid stroke and a short, compact swing as he led the way for the Phenom offense as he went 2-3 with 1 double and 3 RBI.  Jonathan Hernadez (2017, La Habra HS, CA) also showed well going 1-2 with 1 run scored, 1 RBI and 1 walk.  

Tony Iannuzzo (2017, Eleanor Roosevelt HS, CA) started and earned the win for the Phenom as he tossed 7 hutout innings allowing just 4 hits and no walks, while striking out 4.  Iannuzzo threw easy and kept hitters off balance as he changed speeds between his 70-74/75 mph fastball and his 65-69 mph curveball.  

For the Reds, Casey Schwitters (2016, Berean Christian HS, CA) went 1-3 with 1 double to led their offense.  Trey Dubois (2017, American Canyon HS, CA) and Nichals Simmons (2016, Northgate HS, CA) each had a single at the plate.

Colton Nighthawks 16u defeated the Canyon Thunder 3-2 to pick up their first win of the tournament.  Andrew Shepard (2017, Tahquitz HS, CA) started earned the win going 6 innings allowing 2 earned runs on 5 hits and 3 walks, while striking out 8.  Shepard featured a 71-78 mph fastball with a 61-66/67 mph curveball.  

Offensively for the Nighthawks, Clayton Ellis (2017, Tahquitz HS, CA) went 2-4 with a pair of singles and A McKeegan (2016, Colton HS, CA) went 1-1 with 1 double.  Gregory Ellis (2016, Tahquitz HS, CA) also showed well going 1-3 with 1 run scored and 1 stolen base.

The Lakeside Legends edged by the So Cal Elite, 5-3, thanks to a three-run third inning to place the Legends ahead, and on to victory.

Brad Czerniejewski (2017, Lake Forest HS, IL) led the way for the Legends' offense, going a perfect 3-3 at the plate, with a double, two singles, and two runs scored.  Jackson Peterson (2017, Warren HS, IL) contributed with a 2-3 performance, finishing with a double, single, and two RBIs in the game.

On the mound, Jack Arnstein (2017, Highland Park HS, IL) pitched 5.1 innings, giving up just one hit, no runs, and struck out three.  He had a fastball that peaked at 70 mph, and successfully mixed in a handful of curveballs and a few changeups for his off-speed pitches.

For the Elite, Bryant Serrano (2017, Damien HS, CA) went 1-2 with a single, and one run scored, and Tristian Salcido (2016, Summit HS, CA) contributed with a double and one RBI in the game.

The SCBC Huskies defeated the Lamorinda Showcase 8-4 to pick up their first win of the tournament.  Brayden Merritt (2017, Hamilton HS, AZ) had a big game for the Huskies going 3-4 with 1 double and 2 runs scored.  Richard Ramsdell (2017, Hamilton HS, AZ) added in another strong performance going 2-3 with 2 runs scored, 2 RBI and 1 stolen base.  Leadoff man, Colton Snelling (2017, Hamilton HS, AZ), helped spark the offense going 1-2 with 1 double, 2 RBI and 1 walk.  

Cole Bellinger (2017, Hamilton HS, AZ) earned the win for the Huskies tossing 5 innings allowing just 1 run on 3 hits and 2 walks, while recording 2 strikeouts.  Bellinger featured a 77-80/81 mph fastball and a 37-70/73 mph curveball.  

For the Showcase, Josh Nelson (2016, College Park HS, CA) went 1-1 with 1 RBI and Jaxon Stuhr (2016, Berkeley HS, CA) went 1-1 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI.  

Phenom 14U Coasts to Big Win

Phenom 14U cruised to a 12-1 win over the BBC Generals after jumping out to an early 2-0 lead after the first inning. Phenom was able to take advantage of ten team walks and four General fielding errors to put in the blowout win. The Phenom offense knocked in six hits from six different players and was led at the plate by Preston Hartsell (2018, Corona Del Mar HS, CA). Hartsell logged a 1-2 game with two runs scored, two RBIs, two walks and the game's only multi-base hit with a double as Alexander Williams (2018, Redwood Christian Jr.-Sr. HS, CA) picked up a game-high three RBIs despite not logging a hit or walk. 

Williams also picked up the win for the Phenom for his three innings spent on the mound, tossing 58 pitches and allowing three hits and one unearned run while walking two and striking out six with a fastball averaging 79 mph. 

Colton Nighthawks grab the easy victory

The Colton Nighthawks White grabbed the easy victory, defeating the Prospects National Team, 9-1.

Connor Cannon (2016, Vista Murrieta HS, CA) went 2-3 with a double, single, one run and one RBI, to lead the way for the Nighthawk's offense.  Cole Cardey (2016, Undecided, CA) went 203 as well, with a double of his own, a single, two runs, and one RBI in the game.  Jacob Mesa (2016, La Quinta HS, CA) contributed with a perfect 2-2 performance, and had two singles, one run and two RBIs.

Cannon pitched four complete innings of work, giving up one run on one hit and struck out five in the game, with a fastball that averaged 84-86/87 mph, and mixed in a handful of curveballs.

For the Prospects, Bryce Couch (2016, Fairfield HS, OH) finished the game 1-1, with a double, and the lone hit in the game for the team.

The Southern California Bombers 2016 defeated the Slammers Asnicar 9-0 to pick up their first win of the tournament.  Jacob Castillo (2016, San Dimas HS, CA) earned the win tossing 3 shutout innings on the mound allowing just 1 hit and 1 walk, while striking out 4.  Castillo showed a quick arm and was around the plate with his 83-86 mph fastball and his 70-74 mph curveball.  At the plate, Castillo showed a short, compact swing to go 1-2 with 1 double and 1 RBI.  

Liam Sellers (2016, Damien HS, CA) also showed well going 1-3 with 2 RBI and 1 walk.  Daniel Caruso (2016, Loyola HS, CA) added in a 1-2 day with 1 run scored, 1 RBI, 2 stolen bases and 2 walks.  Humberto Castaneda (22016, Warren HS, CA) continued the big offensive day as he went 2-4 with 2 runs scored and 1 stolen base.  

For the Slammers, Mitchell Hulse (2016, Columbine HS, CO) went 1-2 with 1 double and 1 walk, while Max Weber (2016, Dakota Ridge Senior HS, CO) went 2-2 with a pair of singles.

Jacob Hirsh (2016, O. Dea HS, WA) sparked the Northwest offense, going 3-3 with a triple, two singles, two runs scored, and two RBIs in the contest.  Jordan Jones (2016, Kentwood HS, WA) went 2-4 with two singles, one run and one RBI.  Keenan Milligan (2016, Tumwater HS, WA) contributed with a double in the game.

On the mound, Andrew Pickles (2016, Mercer Island HS, WA) pitched 3.2 innings of work, giving up no runs on no hits, and struck out three.  He had a fastball that topped out at 75 mph, and mixed in a curveball for his off-speed pitch.

Athletics top Wave thanks to big 6th inning

The Rijo Athletics defeated the CBA Wave 5-3 thanks to a 3-run 6 inning to pick up their first win of the tournament.  Drew Santana (2017, Hazen Senior HS, WA) earned the win going 5 innings allowing 2 earned runs on 5 hits and 2 walks, while striking out 3.  Santana showed a quick arm and good hip rotation on his 79-82/84 mph fastball with a 69-73/74 mph slider.  Shane McGuire (2017, Kentwood HS, WA) earned the save on the mound tossing 2 1-hit innings and striking out 2 using a  81-83/84 mph fastball.  McGuire also stayed inside the ball well and got good extension going 3-4 with 1 stolen base.  

For the rest of the Athletics offense, Jared Whitman (2017, Lynnwood HS, WA) went 1-3 with 2 runs scored and 2 stolen bases on the day.  Austin Baek (2017, Bothell HS, WA) used a fluid stroke and good bat speed to go 2-4 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI.  Ryan Ober (2017, Glacier Peak HS, WA) added in a  2-4 day with 1 double and 2 RBI day at the plate.  Kyler McMahan (2017, Lynnwood HS, WA) got good lift in his swing going 1-4 with 1 double and 1 run scored, while Carson Ryder (2016, Bothell HS, WA) used a short, compact swing to go 2-4 with 1 double and 1 run scored. 

For the Wave, Jacob Loren (2016, Canyon Crest Academy HS, CA) showed good bat speed and stayed inside the ball well going 1-2 with 1 double, 2 RBI and 1 walk.  Michael Goodridge (2016, St Augustine HS, CA) used a short, compact swing at the plate to go 1-2 with 1 stolen base.

The ABD Bulldogs grabbed the shutout victory, defeating El Sports Warriors, 8-0.

Parker White (2016, Aliso Niguel HS, CA) led the way on the offensive end for the Bulldogs, going a perfect 3-3 at the plate, with three singles, three runs scored, and one RBI in the game.  Zack Bowman (2016, Aliso Niguel HS, CA) went 2-2 with a double, single, and three RBIs in the game.  Shutts also contributed with a perfect 2-2 performance, with a double as well, and one run and one RBI.

On the mound, Bowman pitched a complete game, giving up just one hit, and struck out three, in five complete innings of work.  He had a fastball that averaged 75-78/78 mph and mixed in a handful of curveballs for his off-speed pitch.

For the Warriors, Brett Tressen (2017, San Ramon Valley HS, CA) had the lone hit in the game, finishing 1-2 at the plate with a single.

The CrabFest All Americans defeated the So Cal Marlins 3-1 to pick up their first win of the tournament.  John Fuqua (2016, Indian River HS, VA) started and earned the win for the All Americans going 4 innings allowing 1 run on 6 hits and 1 walk, while striking out 4.  While on the mound, Fuqua used a 76-79/80 mph fastball with a 64-70 mph curveball.  Jesse Umstot (2017, Dematha Catholic HS, MD) added in a strong outing from the bullpen tossing 3 no-hit innings allowing just 2 walks, while striking out 2 batters.  Umstot used a 71-75/76 mph fastball and a 59-65 mph curveball.  

Offensively for the All Americans, Grant Keller (2016, Midlothian HS, VA) went 1-3 with 1 double and 1 RBI.  Zach Seal (2016, Georgetown Preparatory HS, VA) and Jake Guy (2016, Nandua HS, VA) each added in a single and 1 run scored on the day.  

For the Marlins, Morera went 1-3 with 1 double and Isaiah Flowers went 1-2 with 1 RBI and 1 walk.

Cole Francis (2017, South Hills HS, CA) led the way, going 2-3 with two singles and one run scored in the game.  A. Carrillo contributed by going 1-2 with a single and one RBI in the contest.  On the mound, Alex Moore (2016, West Hills HS, CA) pitched four complete innings, giving up one run on two hits, and struck out five.  He had a good, online delivery, with a fastball that averaged 80-82/83 mph, and mixed in a curveball and a slider for his off-speed pitches.

For the Birds, leadoff hitter A.J. Esperanza (2018, El Modena HS, CA) and Jason Farese (2017, Orange Lutheran HS, CA) each went 1-2 at the plate, with a single a piece.

The So Cal Waves defeated the Gamers Baseball Alaska 4-3 to improve to 1-1 in the tournament.  Sean Sullivan (2018, Chaminade College Preparatory HS, CA) started and earned the win for the Waves going 6 strong innings allowing 3 runs, 1 earned on 6 hits and 3 walks, while striking out 6.  Sullivan threw primarily his 72-77 mph fastball while on the mound and mixed in a mid 60's curveball while on the mound.  

Offensively for the Waves, Victor Gonzalez (2016, Grover Cleveland HS, CA) led the way going 1-3 with 2 RBI and Alex Davis (2017, William Howard Taft HS, CA) added in a 2-2 day with 1 double, 1 run scored and 2 RBI.  Albert Robles (2017, San Fernando HS, CA) also showed well going 1-3 with 1 double.

Team California Titans defeated the SBG Wahoos 15-3 in their first game of the tournament.  Alex Telles (Santa Margarita Catholic HS, CA) started and earned the win for the Titans going 4 innings allowing just 1 run on 1 hit and no walks, while recording 5 strikeouts and an impressive 71.4% strike rate.  Telles used an extended release and an over the top arm angle throwing a 75-77/80 mph curveball with a 66-70/71 mph curveball.  Telles also went 1-2 at the plate with 1 triple and 3 RBI.  

Connor Chapman (2018, Orange Lutheran HS, CA) led the way offensively for the Titans as he went 2-4 with 1 double, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.  Blake Hunt (2017, Mater Dei HS, CA) also managed to pick up 3 RBI and 1 walk on the day.  Kyle Giberson (2018, Mater Dei HS, CA) added in a 1-2 day with 1 triple, 2 runs scored, 2 RBI and 1 walk.

The ASD Bulldogs defeated MAP Baseball 10-0 to improve to 1-1 in the tournament.  Leadoff man, Kyle Oyama (2017, El Toro HS, CA), helped spark the offense by going 2-4 with 2 runs scored and showed impact speed with 3 stolen bases.  JB Hunter (2017, San Clemente HS, CA) added in a strong performance going 2-3 with 1 double, 1 run scored and 2 RBI.  Cooper Uhl (2016, Trabuco Hills HS, CA) hit a 3-run homer in the bottom of the 6th and Scarolta also showed well by going 2-3 with 1 run scored and 2 RBI.  

Jake Mills (2017, San Clemente HS, CA) started and earned the win for the bulldogs tossing 6 shutout innings allowing just 2 hits and 1 walk, while striking out 2 batters.  While on the mound, Mills featured a 71-75/76 mph fastball with a 61-68 mph curveball.  

For MAP, Peyton Zivkovich (2016, Chanhassen HS, MN) went 1-2 and Hunter Lindquist (2016, Totino-Grace HS, MN) went 1-3, both with singles.

It was an offensive game with 24 hits between the two teams but Lamorinda Showcase slipped past JG Baseball 7-6.  Hank DaRe (2016, College Park, CA) went 3 for 4 with an RBI.  Cole Fanning-Haag (2016, Berkeley, CA) had three singles.  Josh Nelson (2016, College Park, CA) drove in two run with a single. Blake Harrison (2017, San Ramon Valley, CA) doubled in a run. Sam Behrens (2016, College Park, CA) threw seven innings.  He struck out eight while walking one. His fastball was between 79-82 mph and touched 83.

Christian Cruz (2017, Alta Loma, CA) led JG with two singles and an RBI.  Both Ryan Almandinger (2017, Upland, CA) and Tanner Rochlin had two singles each. 

Hosino gets a win

Matt Hosino (2016, Hawthorne, CA) pitched a complete game for So Cal Marlins in their 7-1 win over Performance Plus Reds.  He fanned 11 while allowing just two hits. Dylan Sledge went 2 for 2 with a triple and two RBI's.  Taishi Nakawake (2017, Manhattan Beach, CA) pitched in with two singles and an RBI.  Trey Silvano helped out with two singles.  Matt Mercier (2017, Redondo Beach, CA) drove in two runs with two singles. 

Tyler Jensen (2016, Perry, AZ) threw five innings. He fanned two while walking three.

Even though Tucson Bombers out hit So Cal NTT, So Cal came out on top. Jake Mullholland (2016, Snohomish, WA) threw seven quality innings while striking out 10.  He allowed just one walk but gave up six hits. His fastball was in the high 70's and touched 81 mph.  Michael Borg (2016, La Habra, CA) doubled in a run. 

Michael Santorelli (2017, Canyon Del Oro, AZ) went 2 for 3 with a double for the Bombers.

Grant Lung (2017, Deer Valley, AZ) had a perfect day at  plate for All Star Baseball Academy 16U in their 6-1 win over Team Avenue Aces.  He had three hits including a double and an RBI.  Anthony Quattrocchi (2017, Joy Christian Academy, AZ) drove in two runs with a single. Zachary Griffin (2017, Sandra Day O'Connor, AZ) threw two innings. He struck out four and allowed a walk. His fastball was in the low 80's and touched 83 mph. 

Grant Schroeder (2016, Grandview, CO) pitched seven innings for the Aces.  He k'ed seven while allowing seven hits and four earn runs. He threw his fastball between 79-81 mph and reached 82.

Marcelo Terrazas (2016, La Quinta, CA) pitched six solid innings for Colton Nighthawks in their 5-2 win over Southern Nevada Baseball.  He fanned nine while allowing three hits in six innings. His fastball was in the high 70's and reached 81 mph. Nate Stilinovich (2016, Murrieta Mesa, CA) came in to save the game.  In the seventh inning, he struck out two but walked one. Kevin Palm (2016, Murrieta Mesa, CA) had a great day at the plate with three hits including a double and an RBI.  Brenden Bergen (2016, Arlington, CA) went 2 for 2 and drove in a run. 

Bryson Stott (2016, Desert Oasis, NV) led Nevada with two singles and drove in one of their runs.

James Rutledge (2016, Torrey Pines, CA) led the offense with two hits including a double.  Jose Palomo (2016, La Costa Canyon, CA) drove in two runs with a single.  Dylan Hadley (2016, La Costa Canyon, CA) helped out with a double that plated two A's. Austin Merrill (2016, La Costa Canyon, CA) pitched the first three innings. He fanned six while allowing just a hit. 

Andy Sain (2018, Chaminade College Prep, CA) led the Sox with two singles. Tyler Uberstine (2017, Chaminade College Prep, CA) pitched four innings. He fanned four while walking three.

Neither team could pull away as ASD Bulldogs and ABD end up in a 4-4 tie. Gavin Garcia (2016, El Toro, CA) threw 6 1/3 innings for the Bulldogs. He fanned eight while allowing just three hits. He threw his fastball in the low 80's and touched 84 mph.  Austin Collins (2016, San Clemente, CA) came in to pitch the rest of the seventh inning.  He struck out two but walked one. Hunter Jump (2017, Mater Dei, CA) led the offense with two hits including a double.  Garcia drove in a run with a single.

Mason Coeneliussen (2016, Cajon, CA) threw seven innings for ABD. He k'ed two and gave up five hits. Matthew Ortiz (2016, Santiago, CA) doubled in a run.
