HP Maldonado grabbed late runs to seal the 9-3 blowout victory, defeating the East Cobb Astros 18, in the championship game of the 2014 PG EvoShield Classic 17/18.
Tyler Burdette (2015, Whitewater HS, GA) went 2-4 with a triple, single, and two RBIs in the game. Nick DiPonzio (2016, Tattnall Square Academy, GA) also went 2-4 with a double, single, one run and one RBI. Mcelwaney contributed, going 2-3 with two singles and one RBI. Chase Allen (2015, Northgate HS, GA) went 1-3 with a single and three runs scored in the game.
Tyler Sellers (2015, Locust Grove HS, GA) pitched five innings of work, giving up just three hits and struck out three, while utilizing a fastball that topped out at 84 mph, and mixing in a handful of off-speed pitches.
For the Astros, Griffin Helms (2014, Norcross HS, GA) a Kennesaw State commit, went 2-3 with two singles and one RBI. Keith Johnson (2019, Buford HS, GA) led the way, going 2-3 with a homerun, double, one run scored and two RBIs in the game.

The East cobb Astros 18 edged by the GBSA Blue Rays 6-5, to advance to the championship game.
Griffin Helms (2014, Norcross HS, GA) a Kennesaw State commit, led the way for the Astros, going 2-4 with a homerun, single, one run and two RBIs. Trevor Devine (2014, North Cobb HS, GA) contributed with a 2-4 performance, with two singles and two runs scored. Landon Faulkner (2014, Mt. Paran Christian, GA) also went 2-4 with two singles and one RBI.
Connor Bennett (2015, Buford HS, GA) a WVU commit, pitched three innings of work, giving up three earned runs on two hits, and struck out two. He was around the plate with all of his pitches, and had a good fastball that peaked at 89 mph, and mixed in a handful of good curveballs and a changeup for his off-speed pitches.
For the Rays, Tekwaan Whyte (2015, Stephenson HS, GA) went 1-1 with a single and one run, and Jalen Jackson (2014, Heritage HS, GA) went 1-2 with a single and one RBI.

HP Maldonado cruised to the easy victory, defeating Team Alabama 8-0, to advance to the championship game.
Jake McFarland (2015, Ola HS, GA) led the way for HP, going 2-3 with a double, single, one run and two RBIs. Nick DiPonio (2016, Tattnall Square Academy, GA) also went 2-3 with a double and single as well, and one run scored. Tyler Burdette (2015, Whitewater HS, GA) went 1-2 with a single and two RBIs, and leadoff hitter CJ Ballard (2015, Pike County HS, GA) went 1-2 with a single, one run and one RBIs.
Adam Goodman (2015, Starrs Mill HS, GA) a Georgia commit, pitched a complete game, giving up just three hits and struck out six, in five innings of work. He showed good command on both sides of the plate, and had a fastball that peaked at 83 mph.
For Team Alabama, Tyler Tolbert (2016, Hewitt-Trussville HS, AL), Brenton Sanders (2016, Northridge HS, AL), and Tyler White (2015, Pelham HS, AL) each went 1-2 in the game with a single a piece.

HP Maldonado blanked the Ultimate Baseball 18U and rolled into the semifinals with a 6-0 win. The Maldonado offense knocked in eight hits from six different players with Cole Jackson (2016, Sandy Creek HS, GA) leading the way. Jackson went 2-3 at the plate with a game-high three RBIs, a run scored and a two-run homer in the bottom of the fourth. Ultimate Baseball didn't get much going offensively, logging four hits but put on a defensive show with five double plays.
Jeremiah Woods (2015, Whitewater HS, GA) picked up the win for HP Maldonado after tossing six innings to start out the game. Woods tossed 86 pitches and allowed three hits and no runs while walking one and striking out eight with a fastball averaging 84 mph and topping out at 88 mph.
With the win, HP Maldonado (6-0-0) advances to the semifinals and will pit their undefeated record against fellow undefeated Team Alabama (6-0-0)
Blue Rays Fend Off DeLaPaz 4-3

The GBSA Blue Rays jumped out to an early lead, scoring two runs in the top of the first as they fought off the Velocity Lab-DeLaPaz 4-3 to advance to the semi-finals. The Blue Ray offense knocked in eight hits from six different players and devastated on the base paths with nine stolen bases as Jared McKay (2014, Chamblee Charter HS, GA) led the way offensively. McKay finished 2-3 at the plate with an RBI and a stolen base.
McKay, a Top 275 player nationally, also made his presence felt on the defensive side of the ball, picking up the win for the Blue Rays after tossing 85 pitches in five innings of work on the mound, allowing four hits and two runs, neither earned, while walking one, striking out nine, and logging a strike on 73 percent of his pitches. The Spartanburg Methodist College commit showed control all around and on both sides of the plate and a sharp, downhill arm action, setting up and attacking hitters with a three-pitch rotation featuring a late-breaking slider to both sides of the plate as an out-pitch and an aggressive fastball averaging 82 mph and topping out at 87 mph.
Aaron Hernandez (2015, Moody HS, TX) is credited with the loss for the Velocity after tossing 124 pitches in seven innings on the mound, allowing eight hits and four runs, two earned, while walking one and striking out 12. Hernandez showed the potential to be a dominating pitches with good command all around the plate, effectively pitching inside and a balanced delivery with sound mechanics, pitching his way out of trouble with a four-pitch rotation featuring a late-breakign 11/5 or 1/7 curveball that flashes potential, a tight rotation slider, a deceptive change-up and a fastball averaging 87 mph and topping out at 90 mph.

Team Alabama responded with a three-run push from the East Cobb Marlins in the top of the eighth with a four-run rally of their own in the bottom of the eighth, rallying into the semifinals with a 6-5 extra-innings victory. The Team Alabama offense knocked in six hits from five different players with John Marc Mullins (2017, Homewood HS, AL) leading the way offensively. Mullins finished perfect at the plate, going 2-2 with two walks, an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base as Tyler Tolbert (2016, Hewitt-Trussville HS, AL) knocked in the winning run with a single in the bottom of the eighth. Wesley Burgess (2014, Redan HS, GA) sparked the Marlin's offense with a 2-4 game at the plate, picking up two RBIs and a stolen base.
Lance Johnson (2016, Thompson HS, AL) did most of the work on the mound for Team Alabama, tossing 72 pitches in five and a third innings on the mound and allowing four hits and two runs, both earned, while walking two and striking out three. Alex Weeks (2015, Pelham HS, AL) picked up the win for closing out the eighth inning on the mound, allowing no hits, runs or walks while striking out none.
With the win, Team Alabama (6-0-0) advances to the semi-finals to pit their undefeated record against fellow undefeated, HP Maldonado (7-0-0).
Astros Take 4-2 Win With Late Push

The East Cobb Astros 18U put together a furious three-run push in the bottom of the sixth to squeeze past the Georgia BlackCrackers and finish undefeated in pool play with a 4-2 win. The Astro offense knocked in only three hits as Keith Johnson (2019, Buford HS, GA) provided the necessary late-game heroics to pull the Astros to victory. Johnson finished 2-3 at the plate with a three-run homer in the sixth to finish with a game-high three RBIs, and a run scored. The BlackCrackers doubled up the Astro hit count, finishing with seven hits from six different players as Jalin Thomas (2016, Shaw HS, GA) logged the multi-hit stat line, going a perfect 2-2 at the plate with a run scored.
Brooks Buckler (2015, Norcross HS, GA) took home the win for the Astros after closing out the final two innings of the game on the mound. Buckler tossed 29 pitches and allowed two hits and no runs or walks while striking out two in relief of starting pitcher Landon Faulkner (2014, Mt. Paran Christian HS, GA). Faulkner tossed 61 pitches in five innings of work on the mound, allowing five hits and two runs, both earned, while walking none, striking out six and logging a strike on 77 percent of his pitches.
Trey Seldon (2014, Hardaway HS, GA) is credited with the loss for the BlackCrackers after completing the game on the mound. Seldon tossed 79 pitches in six innings of work, allowing three hits and four runs, three earned, while walking five and striking out three with a fastball averaging 79 mph and topping out at 84 mph.

Wesley Burgess (Redan, Hiram, GA 2014) and Dondrei Hubbard (Creekview, Canton, GA 2014) were the hot hitters for the East Cobb Marlins. Burge went 1-4 for the game with scoring two runs. Hubbard went 3-3 for the game and had three RBIs. Tripper Ergle (Blythewood, Blythewood, SC 2015) and Isaac Deveaux (Edouard Montpetit, Montreal, QC) was the hot hitters for Upstate Mavericks Scout Team. Ergle went 1-2 for the game with scoring one run and had one RBI. Deveaux went 1-2 for the game and had one RBI.
Millwood was the ace pitcher for East Cobb Marlins. Cougars Top ECB in Final Inning

ECB Renegades rallied for 4 runs in the top of the 7th inning to take the lead, however 643 Cougars Sterling responded with 4 runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning to go on to a 5-4 victory. Colin Dore drove in the game-winning run with a single as he ended he game 1-3 with 2 RBI.
Pitching was solid on both sides until the final inning when all but one of the runs were scored. Luke Miltner (2016, Whitefield Academy HS, GA) was efficient on the mound for the Cougars in his 4 innings of work only giving up 2 hits on no runs or no walks while throwing over 80% strikes.
On the other side, Taylor Buice (2016, Lassiter HS, GA) logged 6.1 innings while giving up just 2 hits and striking out 3 on 3 earned runs. Buice also had a single and an RBI on the lead off spot.

Crimmins brought home the the go ahead run to help his team take the lead in the sixth inning. Max Joseph (West Forsyth, Cumming, GA 2016) singled to get on base in the sixth. He then went from first to second on a stolen base. Jacob Tate (West Forsyth, Cumming, GA 2017) went a perfect 1-1 at the dish for Denny Pritchett Jayhawks 17/18U. He doubled in the fourth inning.
Coleman Williams (Marrist, Sandy Springs, GA 2016) recorded the win for Team DeMarini GA 17U. He allowed three runs over 5 1/3 innings with striking out seven, walked four and gave up three hits. VelocityLab-DeLaPaz scored five runs in the bottom of the fifth to pull away and claim a 9-3 victory over Knoxvillle Hurricanes on Monday.
A.D. Pena (2016, Banquete HS, TX) and Hunter Christopher (2016, Flour Bluff HS, TX) led the run production for VelocityLab, as each player drove in two runs and recorded one hit. Anthony Vincent Handel (2016, King HS, TX) and Joshua Baltierra (2016, Calallen HS, TX) led the team with two hits each, while Anthony Gomez (2016, Banquete HS, TX) and Christian Angel De La Paz (2016, Moody HS, TX) each scored two runs in the win.
Baltierra earned the win for VelocityLab, tossing five innings and allowing one run on two hits. He struck out three hitters, and his fastball topped out at 83 mph.

Bulldogs Baseball rallied from a 3-0 deficit with seven runs in the bottom of the sixth, and claimed a 7-3 victory over Homeplate 17U Shelton on Monday.
Jackson Tavel (2016, Corner HS, AL) drove in three runs with a triple to lead the run production for the Bulldogs. Cooper Heaton (2015, Tuscaloosa County HS, AL) and Colin Lillie (2015, Thompson HS, AL) each added one run batted in, while Lillie and Gage Farley (2015, Pinson Valley HS, AL) led the team with two hits apiece. Lillie and John Michael Mathews (2015, Gardendale HS, AL) each doubled in the victory.
Tavel also earned the victory for the Bulldogs, as he allowed just one hit over two innings with three strikeouts. His fastball topped out at 81 mph.
Conner Corbitt (2015, Stratford Academy, GA) drilled a home run, driving in two runs with two hits to lead Homeplate. Logan Brashier (2015, Helena, AL) and Alex Weeks (2015, Helena, AL) led the surge for Team Alabama with a RBI single and scoring at least once. Sam Praytor (2017, Helena, AL) and John Marc Mullins (2017, Birmingham, AL) knocked a RBI single each. Ethan Thomas (2016, Madison, AL) contributed a single and a run, and Keegan Morrow (2016, Trussville, AL) and Roberts added a single.
Austin Kitterman (2016, Russellville, AL) led the pitching duties with the complete game. He only needed 68 pitches while scattering seven hits and scoring three runs. He did not walk a batter and struck out five on his 87 mph with his fastball.

The talk of the game was the walk off hit for Bryce Baker (2015, Fayetteville, GA) in the seventh inning. He connected with two singles with a RBI. Will Meyer (2015, Newnan, GA) added a single and a triple with a run. Jonathan Hamilton (2015, Newnan, GA) contributed a RBI single, and Blake Helton (2015, Newnan, GA) and Burdette added with a single each.
William Manning (2015, Fayetteville, GA) tossed all seven innings with 84 pitches. He scattered four hits with one run to score. He walked one and struck out seven on his 78 mph fastball.

The East Cobb Marlins defeated the Knoxville Hurricanes 5-4 in six innings.
Bryan Quillens and Damon Haskett (2014, Fayetteville, GA) led the Marlins with a pair of singles with a run. Dondrei Hubbard (2014, Canton, GA) roped a single and a double with a run. Tyrus Asberry (2014, Atlanta, GA) connected with a two RBI double with a run. Tyler Trahan (2013, Canton, GA) added a RBI single to help his team.
Quillens took over most of the duties with four innings. He scattered four hits with three earned runs. He walked three and struck out three on his 89 mph fastball. He has a good extension out front while showing control of both sides of the plate. He has projectable stuff with a good curve with an average slider.
Brent Richey (2916, Knoxville, TN) led the Hurricanes with a two RBI double. Anthony Crowder (2016, Knoxville, TN) connected with a RBI double to help as well. Logan Adams (2017, Knoxville, TN) contributed a pair of singles, and Austin Cullen (2016, Lenoir City, TN) added a RBI single.

Austin New (2015, Heritage HS, GA) led the way for ECB, going a perfect 2-2 at the plate, with two singles and a run scored. Heseley went 1-1 with a double and two RBIs. Paul Anderson (2014, Glynn Academy, GA) contributed with a single and one run scored. For the Dolphins, Michael Cullen (2017, A. Crawford Mosley, FL) went 2-3 with two singles, and one run scored. Jordan Murray (2016, A. Crawford Mosley, FL) went a perfect 2-2 with two singles as well, and one run scored.
There was good pitching on both sides as the offenses were limited all afternoon. Ben Peters (2015, A. Crawford Mosley HS, FL) was solid on the bump in his 6 innings of work for the Dolphins. Peters struck out 4 on just 5 hits and 2 earned runs while throwing a lot of strikes. On the other side, ECB shut down the opposing offense until the final inning. Taylor Buice (2016, Lassiter HS, GA) was efficient on the mound lasting 3 innings while giving up just 1 hit on 4 strikes, no walks, and no runs allowed. Leadoff hitter Joshua Baltierra (2016, Calallen HS, TX) went 2-3 with two singles and one RBI in the game. Anthony Gomez (2016, Banquete HS, TX) went 1-3 with a double. Andrew Gonzalez (2016, Calallen HS, TX) went a perfect 2-2 at the plate, with two singles, and one run scored.
On the mound, Gomez pitched 4.1 innings of work, giving up one earned run on four hits and struck out four, showing good command of a fastball that topped out at 87 mph. The HP Maldonado offense was too much, as they cruised to the easy shutout victory, defeating the Georgia BlackCrackers, 9-0.
Jake McFarland (2015, Ola HS, GA) led the way, going a perfect 3-3 at the plate, with two homeruns, a double, two runs scored and six RBIs in the game. Cornelius Randolph (2015, Griffin HS, GA) a Clemson commit, went a perfect 2-2, with a homerun, single, two runs scored and one RBI. Chase Allen (2015, Northgate HS, GA) also had a homerun, and finished 2-3 with a single, one run and two RBIs as well. Isaiah Gilliam (2015, Parkview HS, GA) contributed with a double to the offense.
On the mound, N. Neidert pitched four complete innings, giving up just one hit while striking out four, and displaying a fastball that topped out at 94 mph, and mixed in a good 83 mph changeup to compliment as his off-speed pitch.

Harrison Veldsma (2014, Walton HS, GA) and Collin Stoecker (2015, Siegel HS, TN) a Notre Dame commit, combined to pitch a no-hitter. Veldsma pitched three innings, striking out two, and flashing a fastball that topped out at 85 mph, and Stoecker also struck out two with a fastball that peaked at 83 mph.
At the plate, Chase Smartt (2015, Charles Henderson HS, AL) a Troy commit, went 2-3 with a triple, single, and one run scored. Atlanta Dodgers and Georgia Jackets 17U combined for just seven hits, and their game finished in a 1-1 tie on Sunday.
The sole Dodgers run was driven in by Erickie Godfrey (2016, KIPP Atlanta Collegiate HS, GA), and was scored by Travon Hardnett (2016, Cedar Grove HS, GA). Tyler Sylvester (2016, Southwest Dekalb HS, GA), Davian Manley (2015, Southwest Dekalb HS, GA), and Corey Forde (2016, Stephenson HS, GA) supplied the hits for the Dodgers.
Sylvester tossed a complete game for the Dodgers, allowing one run on four hits with five strikeouts over seven innings. His fastball topped out at 83 mph.
The Jackets’ run was driven in by Dalton Delay (2015, Woodstock HS, GA), and was scored by Brantley Flanagan (2014, Sequoyah HS, GA). Flanagan, Delay, Steven Etcher (2015, Dunwoody HS, GA), and Grant Pfost (2015, Sequoyah HS, GA) accounted for the four Jackets hits.

The East Cobb Astros 18U pitched a shutout and scored a run in every inning except for a four-run fifth inning to blank the Homeplate 17U Shelton and take the win 8-0. The Astros offense knocked in ten hits from eight different players with Griffin Helms (2014, Norcross HS, GA) and Chase Smartt (2015, Charles Henderson HS, AL) leading the way. Helms, the Number One GA Catcher and Top 250 Overall Player, finished 2-3 with two run scored as Smartt, the Number Six GA Overall Player and Troy commit, added in a perfect 2-2 game at the plate with an RBI, a run scored, a walk and a double.
Ryan Young took home the win for the Astros after spending all five innings on the mound. Young tossed 54 pitches and allowed two hits and no runs or walks while striking out eight and logging a strike on 78 percent of his pitches using a four-pitch rotation featuring a curveball and a fastball averaging 83 mph and topping out at 87 mph.

The GBSA Blue Rays scored early and often, putting up at least two runs in four different innings as they cruised past the Chicago Satchel Paige All-Stars 10-1 in six innings, holding the All-Stars to three hits while forcing three fielding errors. The Blue Ray offense logged ten hits from nine different players as Tekwaan Whyte (2015, Stephenson HS, GA) led the way offensively. Whyte finished with the only multi-hit stat line of the game, going 2-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored while reaching base on error and turning a double play on defense.
Jelani Clarington (2015, Rockdale County HS, GA) picked up the win for the Blue Ray bullpen for his three innings on the mound to start out the game. Clarington tossed 49 pitches and allowed one hit and one earned run while walking one and striking out four with a fastball averaging 78 mph and topping out at 80 mph.

The Denny Pritchett Jayhawks 17/18U survived a furious two-run rally in the bottom of the seventh inning from the Upstate Mavericks Black to take the win 3-2. The Mavericks were able to load up the bases with no outs, but were forced into the loss after a tag at home after a late fly ball. The Jayhawks offense knocked in six hits from five different players with half going for extra bases. Brett Anderson (2014, West Forsyth HS, GA) led the way for the Jayhawk offense with a 2-3 game at the plate with an RBI, a run scored and a double.
Daniel McCray (2014, New Lumpkin County HS, GA) took home the win for the Jayhawks after spending the first six innings on the mound, tossing 87 pitches and allowing one hit and no runs while walking six and striking out two. McCray, a High Follow, showed control all around the plate with all his pitches and a quick, well-working arm, setting up hitters with a three-pitch rotation featuring a late-breaking slider that flashes potential and a fastball averaging 79 mph and topping out at 85 mph.

The Bulldogs Baseball outdone by Joseph Morales (Mariner, Cape Coral, FL 2014, Nicholls State) and Ultimate Baseball 18U, 5-2. Morales was the hot hitter for the game with going 2-4 with a single in the third and fourth innings. John Michael Mathews (Gardendale, Birmingham, AL 2015) was the other hot hitter for Bulldogs Baseball. He went 1-2 for the game and one RBI. Ultimate Baseball 18U as a offense today had five runs scored with ten hits.
Chris Holland (Charlotte, Punta Gorda, FL 2015) pitched lights out for Ultimate Baseball 18U. The Bulldogs Baseball managed just two hits off of Holland. He allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his four innings of work. Dillon McCaleb (Corner, Warrior, AL 2015) took the loss for the Bulldogs Baseball. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed five runs. Holland fastball range for the game was 77-80 mph.

John Michael Mathews (2015, Birmingham, AL) led the surge for the Bulldogs with a pair of singles and a triple while plating three RBIs and scoring just once. Austin Jackson (2015, Carbon Hill, AL) contributed two singles of his own. Colin Lillie (2015, Alabaster, AL) knocked a two RBI double with a run. Dillon McCaleb (2015, Warrior, AL) joined in with a single and a run, and Peyton Moore (2015, Lynn, AL) added a single of his own. Cooper Heaton (2015, Northport, AL) and Mason Gooch (2015, Birmingham, AL) helped with a RBI each.

Deion Sellers (2014, Cedar Grove, FL) and Fred Bryant (2015, Heritage, FL) each tallied a hit for GBSA. Sellers had a single with a walk and a stolen base, while Bryant doubled in the top of the 7th. On the mound for GBSA, Corderias Dorsey (2014, Cedar Grove, FL), Daren Osby (2014, Redan, GA), and Malik Jones (2014, Chamblee Charter, GA) combined to allow just 1 hit and one walk. Dorsey struck out 7 while sitting 85-86/87 with his fastball. Osby struck out 4 using a fastball that sat 87-88/90 and a slider that sat 79-80/81. The Georgia Jackets 17U team defeated VelocityLab-DeLaPaz by a final score of 7-6 on Friday. This win improves the Jackets record to (1-0) for the tournament thus far.
Randy Shelton (2016, Sequoyah, GA) led on offense for the Jackets. He went 3 for 3 on the day with 2 RBI's and a double. Johnathan Meuse (2015, Woodstock, GA) was also perfect at the plate for Georgia as he went 3 for 3 with 1 RBI and a double as well. Meuse also picked up 3 stolen bases in this one. Earning the win on the mound was Andrew Hester (2015, River Ridge, GA). Hester threw 4 innings and allowed 2 to come across and score. The save was picked up by Will Herman (2015, St. Pius X Catholic, GA) who tossed 2/3 an inning with 1 strikeout.
Andrew Gonzalez (2016, Calallen, TX) led the charge on offense for VelocityLab as his 7th inning grand slam was almost enough to defeat the Jackets. Jacob Lane (2015, Central HS, GA) led the offensive efforts for Homeplate, driving in two runs on one hit. David "Connor" Wilson (2015, Northgate HS, GA) and Conner Corbitt (2015, Stratford Academy, GA) added one run batted in each, including a home run for Corbitt. Tyler Mowry (2015, Mcintosh HS, GA) scored two runs with two hits, while Wilson added another two hits in the victory.
Sam Sowerbrower (2015, Newnan HS, GA) struck out four hitters over four innings, allowing one run on two hits to pick up the win. His fastball topped out at 80 mph.
The sole Ultimate Baseball run was driven in by Lipscomb commit Kyle Kemp (2014, Bishop Verot HS, FL) and scored by Nicholls State signee Joseph Morales (2014, Mariner HS, FL). Runs were driven in for Team Alabama by Tyler Tolbert (2016, Hewitt-Trussville HS, AL), John Marc Mullins (2017, Homewood HS, AL), Sam Praytor (2017, Pelham HS, AL), and Tyler White (2015, Pelham HS, AL). Logan Brashier (2015, Pelham HS, AL) added two singles, while Tolbert and Praytor clubbed a double apiece in the Alabama victory.
Lance Johnson (2016, Thompson HS, AL) was the leading pitcher for Alabama, firing two innings with one hit allowed and one strikeout. His fastball topped out at 82 mph.
The sole Jayhawks run was driven in by Georgia College commit John Cassandra (2014, West Forsyth HS, GA), and was scored by West Georgia signee Chad Foster (2014, Centennial HS, GA). The team’s two hits, both singles, were recorded by Foster and Cassandra.

Upstate Mavericks Black scored at least two runs in each of the final three innings, and allowed just one hit in a 10-1 victory over Chicago Satchel Paige All-Stars on Friday.
Jeremy Howell led the Mavericks offense with three runs batted in, two singles, and one run scored. North Carolina commit Preston Hudak (2013, Northwestern HS, SC) added two singles and two runs scored, while USC-Lancaster signee Will LaCount (2014, Lexington HS, SC) scored two runs on one hit. Northwestern recruit Connor Lind (2014, TC Roberson HS, NC) and T.J. Waterbore (2014, Cherokee HS, GA) supplied a double apiece in the win.
Dakota Chalmers struck out eight hitters over five innings, allowing just one run on one hit in the win. His fastball topped out at 92 mph.
