*College commitment information is submitted by players and college coaches
Ashton McGee
MIF - 2016 - Goldsboro, NC
North Carolina
McGee is a strong bodied middle infielder who stood out for his right handed swing and the way the ball comes off his bat. He profiles as a future college player at second but if you were looking for a potential Nick Senzel in the 2017 class, McGee would be him.
Hunter Greene
SS - 2017 - Stevenson Ranch, CA
UCLA
It might be easier to find something that Hunter Greene can't excel at than something he can and that still might prove to be a difficult task. After taking a pure and effortless infield, Greene proceeded to bring a silence over the crowd during BP in which he easily cleared the Monster. Oh, and he sat 93-95, bumping a 96, with his fastball in an inning of work while flashing a sharp slider up to 77 mph.
Alex Toral
1B - 2017 - Davie, FL
Miami
Toral has been one of the top ranked players in the 2017 class since PG started the rankings for this class and continues to stand out for his strong and mature left handed bat. His offensive profile has lots of Adrian Gonzalez (Dodgers) in it.
Alex Scherff
RHP - 2017 - Colleyville, TX
Texas A&M
Scherff turned in the loudest pitching performance of the event as the Arizona State commit sat in the 93-95 mph range but showed an uncanny feel to pitch backwards and set up hitters, throwing his late fading changeup and sharp breaking ball at any given movment.
Jordon "Jo" Adell
OF - 2017 - Louisville, KY
Louisville
Adell continued to show his upper echelon levels of athleticism throughout every phase of drills. Posted one of the top 60 times at 6.19, threw 97 mph from the outfield and showed impressive raw power during BP. Also pitched with a longer arm action and a fastball that worked up to 95 mph pairing it with a power curveball.
Cole Turney
OF - 2017 - Richmond, TX
University of Houston/San Jacinto CC
Turney is a top level prospect due to his plus left handed bat speed and big power potential but he continues to improve his overall tools as well. He ran a 6.69 sixty and threw an impressive 94 mph from the outfield.
DL Hall
LHP - 2017 - Warner Robins, GA
Florida State
Hall continued his streak of impressive performances in PG events working a fastball up to 95 mph with good arm speed. Projectably built at 6-2/170, also showed a power curveball and a developing changeup.
Tanner Burns
RHP - 2017 - Decatur, AL
Auburn
Burns reminds us strongly of former PG All-American right hander and Dodgers prospect Grant Holmes in his build and raw stuff. He was up to 95 mph with his fastball and throws a hard biting curveball in the low 80's.
Brady McConnell
SS - 2017 - Merritt Island, FL
Florida
McConnell has all the physical tools to be a premium draft pick next June, including 6.4 speed in the sixty, a strong throwing arm from shortstop and outstanding bat speed that would make him a prospect at any position. Plus, he's nowhere close to physical maturity.
Conner Uselton
OF - 2017 - Oklahoma City, OK
Oklahoma State
Uselton wasn't able to lift the ball like we've seen in the past and particularly in Jupiter last October but he showed all his other big tools, including his plus speed on a 6-4/200 frame.
Kyle Hurt
RHP - 2017 - Rancho Santa Fe, CA
Southern Cal
Hurt is a very mature pitcher with three very solid present pitches, including a 90-93 mph fastball, a slider and a change up and the ability to throw strikes and sequence pitches with all three.
Oraj Anu
OF - 2017 - Orlando, FL
Kentucky/Wallace CC-Dothan
Anu is a citizen of the Bahamas who has gone to high school in Florida, although there is talk of him returning to the Bahamas and entering the international prospect pool as fellow Bahamas prospect Lucius Fox did last year. He's one of the strongest players in the 2017 class, with easy plus power from both sides of the plate, and is a 6.5 runner as well.
Mark Vientos
SS - 2017 - Pembroke Pines, FL
Miami
Every 6-4/190 middle infielder from South Florida will be burdened by Machado/ARod comparisons and Vientos isn't quite as strong or polished as those icons. But he isn't that far behind, either.
Royce Lewis
SS - 2017 - Aliso Viejo, CA
UC Irvine
Lewis is a very smooth athlete with easy actions on both sides of the ball. His bat is improving rapidly, as his his arm strength, and he's solid at second base, shortstop and in centerfield on defense.
Kyle Jacobsen
OF - 2017 - Acworth, GA
Hillsborough CC
Jacobson has one of the best Hit tools in the 2017 class and produces very consistent quality at-bats and hard line drive contact. He surprised with a 6.49 sixty time and played a very solid centerfield on defense.
Drew Waters
OF - 2017 - Woodstock, GA
Georgia
Everything Waters did this event was loud as he ran a 6.69 60-yard, threw 95 mph from the outfield, and then proceeded to barrel the ball up swing after swing, particularly from the left side where he picked up two base hits that registered 103 mph coming off.
Nick Allen
SS - 2017 - San Diego, CA
Southern Cal
Allen stood out defensively at shortstop as he always does and likely qualifies as the top defensive player in the 2017 class. He moves the ball around the field effectively at the plate and will occasionally surprise with a hard pull line drive for extra bases.
Seth Corry
LHP - 2017 - Highland, UT
Brigham Young
Corry has missed lots of mound time recovering from an ACL injury sustained playing football but it didn't show in Fort Myers. He was up to 93 with an easy arm stroke and obvious athleticism in all his actions.
Shane Baz
RHP - 2017 - Cypress, TX
TCU
Baz wasn't at his best in Fort Myers, where he worked 90-92 with a pretty sharp slider, but was 92-95 both the week previously and the week after. He has one of the elite arms in the 2017 class and is a pretty good hitter, too.
Jayson Gonzalez
3B - 2017 - Covina, CA
Vanderbilt
Gonzalez is one of the strongest players in the 2017 class and has consistently dominated high level events with his offensive game and especially his all fields power. He's solid at third base defensively, too.
Nicholas Storz
RHP - 2017 - Brooklyn, NY
Louisiana State
The 6-6/245 Storz was good on the mound, topping out at 92 mph, but where he really opened eyes was with his right handed power during batting practice. It will be interesting to see how he develops on both sides of the ball as a Mark Trumbo type of player.
Cole Brannen
OF - 2017 - Elko, GA
Georgia Southern
Brannen showed lots of improvement in his left handed swing and really hit the ball hard to all fields. But what really stood out was the 6.18 speed in the sixty and his overall athleticism. He's a high ceiling talent if the bat continues to get better.
Quentin Holmes
OF - 2017 - East Elmhurst, NY
Mississippi State
Holmes ran a 6.15 sixty, one of the fastest times in PG history and is a sub-4.0 runner from home to first base from the right side as well. He has a 6-2/180 frame that can gets stronger and he already shows signs of some bat speed at the plate.
Garrett Mitchell
OF - 2017 - Orange, CA
UCLA
Mitchell is one of the most tooled up athletes in a very toolsy group of 2017 prospects, with 6.3 speed, plus arm strength and very good left handed bat speed. If he hits, he has a strong chance of being a first round draft pick next June.
Ricardo De La Torre
SS - 2017 - Juana Diaz, PR
Auburn
De La Torre is the top prospect from Puerto Rico this year and has all the tools to stay at shortstop for a long time. He's a 6.7 runner with outstanding arm strength and some gap power in his bat.
Ryan Vilade
SS - 2017 - Stillwater, OK
Oklahoma State
Vilade's dad is the hitting coach at Oklahoma State and it's not surprising that Vilade's best tool is his right handed hitting potential. He has lots of power and leverage in his swing and that will just stand out more if he can stay in the middle infield defensively.
Jake Eder
LHP - 2017 - Ocean Ridge, FL
Vanderbilt
Eder is a loose bodied southpaw with a very fast arm that produces a present low 90's fastball that jumps on hitters and there is probably more velocity in there. Improvement in his secondary stuff will be key to his development.
Caleb Sloan
RHP - 2017 - Centennial, CO
TCU
Sloan committed to TCU just before his turn to pitch at the National and he didn't disappoint. He's got plenty of strength on his 6-foot-5 frame and was able to run his fastball up to 94 mph while spinning a tight, and impressively hard slider at 85 mph, usually an indicator of more velocity on its way.
Adam Hall
SS - 2017 - London, ON CAN
Texas A&M
Hall looks like the top Canadian in the 2017 high school class and definitely a potential top round pick. He blazed the sixty in 6.29 and showed the athleticism and tools to stay in the middle infield for a long time on defense.
Calvin Mitchell
OF - 2017 - San Diego, CA
San Diego
Mitchell stands out for his left handed bat and his overall approach to hitting. He's a high average hitter who can use the middle of the field and drive the ball to the left centerfield gap but he also hit 12 home runs during the high school season and can put a charge into the ball when pulling it.
Je'Von Carrier-Ward
OF - 2017 - Long Beach, CA
Southern Cal
Carrier-Ward keeps growing it seems and now stands 6-5/190. He has a smooth and easy left handed swing with very good barrel to ball skills and his bat speed will continue to improve as he gets stronger instead of just taller.
Ben Ramirez
SS - 2017 - Chula Vista, CA
Southern Cal
Ramirez has a long and lean 6-3/180 build and is very projectable physically. He is smooth in all his athletic actions, especially in his left handed swing, and should continue to get better as he gets stronger.
Luis Campusano
C - 2017 - Augusta, GA
South Carolina
Campusano was one of the surprise prospects of the event, a Yadier Molina type athlete with very good one spot quickness from a short and strong build. He might be the best catching prospect in the class.
Terriez Fuller
OF - 2017 - Griffin, GA
Chipola College
Fuller is a big and seriously strong 6-4/240 left handed hitter with some of the easiest power you'll ever see. He swung the bat well in games, even against left handed pitchers, and is plenty good enough of an athlete for the corner outfield positions.
Noah Campbell
MIF - 2017 - Durham, NC
South Carolina
Campbell is a switch-hitter but he's much stronger from the left side at present and his left handed Hit tool is one of the best in the class. He profiles as an offensive oriented second baseman moving forward.
Jeremiah Estrada
RHP - 2017 - La Quinta, CA
UCLA
Estrada made the trip out from California and the ultra-projectable righthanded didn't disappoint as he showed a clean and easy arm action that produced a top fastball of 93 mph as well as a slider in the upper-70s that featured short tilting life and a late fading changeup at 81 mph.
Christopher Seise
SS - 2017 - Winter Garden, FL
University of Central Florida
In a very toolsy national group of infielders, Seise left an impression with his 6.41 sixty and 93 mph arm strength across the diamond. His 6-3/170 build has lots of room to get stronger, which will help him at the plate.
Hunter Ruth
RHP - 2017 - Gainesville, FL
Alabama/Palm Beach State
Ruth is coming off a hamstring injury and only threw one quick inning but it was an impressive inning. The ball comes out of his hand very easily and he sat between 90 and 94 mph.
Mervyl "MJ" Melendez
C - 2017 - Cutler Bay, FL
Florida International
Melendez might be the most athletic catcher in the 2017 class, with very good flexibility and quickness behind the plate and plenty of raw arm strength. How he develops as a left handed hitter will be important.
Jacob Pearson
OF - 2017 - West Monroe, LA
Louisiana State
Coming into the event Pearson was already regarded for possessing one of the top hit tools in the class, a notion that he only reaffirmed throughout the event with a loud round of batting practice and consistent barreled contact in game. On top of the hit tool Pearson also shows incredible foot speed, running a 6.62 60-yard.
Hugh Fisher
LHP - 2017 - Eads, TN
Vanderbilt
Fisher looks the part at 6-5/185 and has a fast arm that produces a 89-92 mph fastball and he shows a good curveball and change up as well. He keeps improving and might not be done yet.
Joe Boyle
RHP - 2017 - Goshen, KY
Notre Dame
Boyle is still growing into his big 6-6/225 build but he's already up to 90-93 on his fastball and the ball leaves his hand very easily. His mid-70's curveball showed promise as well. We've heard reports of higher velocities and aren't surprised.
Jordan Anderson
OF - 2017 - Madison, AL
Pittsburgh/Chipola College
Anderson is an easy runner who posted a blazing 6.25 sixty time and has huge athleticism. His 6-2/190 build is long and lean and he really hasn't started to get strong yet, but when he does, watch out.
Johnathan Rodriguez
OF - 2017 - Toa Baja, PR
Florida International
Rodriguez recently transitioned into the 2017 class from the 2018's and immediately put his name on scout's lists as a potential premium draft pick. His two big tools are his right handed power and his big throwing arm, one of the top such tools in the 2017 class.
Steven Williams
C - 2017 - Albany, GA
Auburn
Williams is a very strong left handed hitter who is athletic enough to play the outfield regularly but who looked very solid behind the plate as well. If he can handle catching full-time his offensive potential stands out at that position.
Jacob Heatherly
LHP - 2017 - Cullman, AL
Alabama
Heatherly is a strong left hander from Alabama and though he was up to 92 mph during his outing, there's plenty of reason to believe there's more left in the tank. His arm action is easy and he's able to generate angle to his fastball while also showing tight depth to his slider in the upper-70s.
Jeter Downs
SS - 2017 - Miami, FL
Miami
Downs has all the tools to stay in the middle of the field for a long time, including 6.45 speed, and impressed with the bat speed and gap to tap power potential in his right handed swing.
Tyler Freeman
SS - 2017 - Rancho Cucamonga, CA
TCU
Freeman excelled in all facets of the game and shows the instincts and feel to stay up the middle at the next level. He found the barrel with regularity against live pitching while employing an all fields approach and hard jump coming off.
Freddy Zamora
SS - 2017 - Miami, FL
Miami
Zamora has outstanding actions at shortstop on defense and a smooth and strong right handed swing at the plate. He reminds us athletically of former Cubs first round pick Luis Montanez, another Miami-area product.
Daniel Cabrera
OF - 2017 - River Ridge, LA
Louisiana State
Cabrera is a polished player and has one of the most mature hitting approaches in the class. He squares up the ball consistently and has plenty of extra base power from the left side.
Mitchell Stone
LHP - 2017 - Oklahoma City, OK
Oklahoma State
Stone is an XXL southpaw who measures out at 6-10/245 but who is surprisingly coordinated for his size and is a strike thrower. He tops out at 90 mph from an easy arm action with big plane to the plate and shows good depth on his curveball.
Chad Bryant
RHP - 2017 - Thomasville, AL
Alabama/Pensacola State
Bryant is a strong and compact 6-0 right hander who has long arms for his height. The right one is fast and loose through release and produced a fastball up to 93 mph that jumped on hitters.
Jack Leftwich
RHP - 2017 - Maitland, FL
Florida
Leftwich is a tall, projectable right handed pitcher who throws with a long, loose arm action towards the plate and creates good downhill action. Worked his fastball 91-93/94 mph with slight cutting action and showed good feel for his changeup and a slider that showed sharpness.
Wilberto Rivera
RHP - 2017 - Naranjito, PR
Florida International
Rivera has done great work with his body since we last saw him and he showed his big arm strength, sitting in the 91-94 mph range and throwing strikes. Improving his breaking ball is the next step in his development.
CJ Van Eyk
RHP - 2017 - Lutz, FL
Florida State
Van Eyk has a very sound and repeatable delivery with a high 3/4's arm slot that gives his pitches very good angle to the plate. He worked in the 89-92 mph range and his best pitch was an upper 70's curveball with tight spin and big tilt.
Kevin Abel
RHP - 2017 - San Diego, CA
Oregon State
We may stop calling Abel's signature pitch a change up and start calling it a screwball, because that's pretty much what the ball does. That doesn't disregard his fastball, which reached 91 mph, his power curveball and his very high level of physical projection.
D'Mond LaFond
RHP - 2017 - Refugio, TX
University of Houston
LaFond is just coming back from Spring, 2015 TJ surgery but showed a very fast and loose arm on the mound and a 90-93 mph fastball. He's a high level athlete who scouts feel might be a better position prospect in the long run.
Ivan Johnson
SS - 2017 - Atlanta, GA
South Carolina/Chipola College
Johnson proved to be one of the better fielding shortstops in the 2017 class with sure hands and instincts up the middle. Showed a lot of quick twitch athleticism at the plate and in the field, with a short, compact swing that worked all fields.
Cash Case
SS - 2017 - Mount Dora, FL
Notre Dame
Case was a very pleasant surprise at the plate, as the left handed hitter strung together quality at-bat after quality at-bat, including a nice home run into the right field seats. He projects as an offensive oriented second baseman at the next level.
Ronald Washington
OF - 2017 - Houston, TX
Pittsburgh
Washington looked more athletic than we've previously seen and has obviously been working hard off the field. He has big right handed power, especially to the right centerfield gap, and impressed with his outfield defense.
Heliot Ramos
OF - 2017 - Maunabo, PR
Florida International
Ramos was a very toolsy surprise who has really improved since the last time we saw him, especially with his right handed bat speed and his ability to drive the ball. He's also a 6.55 runner.
Trey Dillard
RHP - 2017 - Phoenix, AZ
Texas A&M/San Jacinto CC
Dillard is a big and strong right hander with a fastball that jumps out of his hand and that will get into the mid-90's right now. He flashes some sharpness with his slider and has some deception in his delivery to further challenge hitters.
Leugim Castillo
OF - 2017 - Lancaster, NY
Oklahoma
Castillo has a very interesting combination of 6.5 speed and enormous raw strength that translates to plus raw power from the right side.
Brian Morrell
RHP - 2017 - Wading River, NY
Notre Dame
Morrell has plus arm strength from the mound and topped out at 93 mph and can get the ball to both sides of the plate. He flashed the potential for a nice slider in the future with a more consistent release point.
Brandon McCabe
RHP - 2017 - Boynton Beach, FL
Keiser University/Rend Lake College
McCabe is a 5-11 right hander with a max effort, reliever only profile but his raw stuff is nasty. He topped out at 95 mph with his fastball and his upper 70's curveball is one of the best breaking balls in the class when he gets it into the strike zone.
Logan Allen
LHP - 2017 - Deltona, FL
Florida International
Allen continues to impress with his ever increasing velocity and for his plus command of a four-pitch mix of quality pitches. He is one of the best performance pitchers in the country and his stuff keeps getting better.
Tim Elko
3B - 2017 - Lutz, FL
Mississippi
Elko put on one of the more impressive rounds of batting practices with a quick, line drive swing and good bat speed. Sprayed line drives around the field and showed power that played in game with a loud triple to centerfield.
Jordan Butler
OF - 2017 - Odessa, FL
Florida
You could say Jordan Butler can miss bats. After all, the Florida commit tallied six punch outs in his two innings of work, running his fastball up to 91 mph with late sinking life from a lower release point while also generating late tilting life to his slider at 72 mph.
Tommy Mace
RHP - 2017 - Tampa, FL
Florida
The 6-7/190 Mace threw less than 15 pitches in his two innings of work but left a strong impression on the scouts with his extremely projectable arm action, his stuff and his command. He's upper 80's now on his fastball but will keep improving as he matures physically.
Joey Lancellotti
RHP - 2017 - Bensalem, PA
North Carolina
Lancellotti is a primary pitcher who gets it up to 92 mph with a big breaking slider but he also gains attention as a two-way player. He'll definitely be a big contributor with the bat if he makes it to North Carolina.
Leslie (Bubba) Thompson
OF - 2017 - Theodore, AL
Alabama
Thompson is an exceptional athlete who has the type of ingredients that make it easy to project the Auburn commit looking outward. He's a plus runner with 6.3 speed, shows a strong arm in the outfield, and consistently barreled balls up in a game setting, a tool that will only benefit from additional strength.
Shane Shifflett
SS - 2017 - Venice, FL
South Carolina/State College of Florida
Shifflett is a very quick twitch middle infielder who we've seen play as much as any player in the country over the past four years and have enjoyed watching him steadily improve.
Francis Villaman
SS - 2017 - Orlando, FL
Florida International/St. Johns River CC
Villaman is a flashy and very athletic middle infielder who projects very well offensively and defensively. How he develops offensively will be very interesting to watch over the next year.
Tyler Ahearn
RHP - 2017 - Jupiter, FL
Florida State
Ahearn threw from a high 3/4 slot with a drop and drive delivery and good arm speed. Fastball worked consistently 90-93 mph with plane in the lower third of the zone with an 11/5 shaped curveball showing good depth and tight spin.
Bryson Hutchinson
1B - 2017 - Port Orange, FL
Mississippi State
Hutchinson is every bit of his listed 6-6/250 and has plenty of right handed raw power. But his future likely lies on the mound, where he's up to 94 mph from a low effort delivery and clean arm action.
Philip Clarke
C - 2017 - Franklin, TN
Vanderbilt
Clarke has a well balanced set of offensive and defensive tools, along with very good athletic quickness for a catcher that really plays on defense. His left handed bat speed and strength at contact was impressive.
Mason Doolittle
C - 2017 - Jupiter, FL
Appalachian State/Palm Beach State
Doolittle has very good athleticism for a 6-3/205 catcher and should be able to stay behind the plate in the long-term, where his right handed bat will be a big asset for him.
Ben Fariss
OF - 2017 - Valencia, CA
UC Santa Barbara
Fariss is a very projectable right hander with a long, quick arm action and filled the zone with strikes. His fastball worked 88-91/92 mph with arm side life, mixed in tight curveball as well as a changeup that showed fade.
Jack Conlon
RHP - 2017 - Sugar Land, TX
Rice/San Jacinto CC
Conlon is a big and strong righthander from the state of Texas listed at 6-foot-5, 210-pounds and he has the power stuff to go with it. He was up to 94 mph with his heater and showed the ability to elevate with intent while mixing in both a slider and changeup for strikes.
Jose Marcano
SS - 2017 - Humacao, PR
Broward CC
Marcano may have had the best showcase of all the talented Puerto Rican middle infielders, showing plenty of bat speed at the plate and mature and sometimes even flashy defensive skills, particularly when he was playing second base.
Sam Weatherly
LHP - 2017 - Howell, MI
Clemson
Weatherly stood out with a very quick arm from a high 3/4 arm slot with a loose arm action. Showed feel for three pitches, fastball that worked up to 90 mph with good angle towards the plate, a slider that flashed, and a deceptive changeup.
Russell Smith
LHP - 2017 - Midlothian, TX
TCU
Smith is very interesting due to his very long and loose 6-9/220 build and a present fastball that will touch 90 mph looks faster to hitters. Like many extra tall pitchers he still has work to do on his secondary pitches and ability to throw from the stretch but that should come with time.
Robert Touron
RHP - 2017 - Miami, FL
St. Petersburg College
Touron, a Miami commit, came out and filled up the strike zone with his fastball that bumped 93 mph with hard running life and worked from a difficult, near sidearm slot. He also showed a nice feel for his breaking ball which features late sweeping life in the upper-70s.
Blake Beers
RHP - 2017 - Manhattan Beach, CA
Michigan
Beers is a big and strong 6-4 right hander who showed a consistent 89-92 mph fastball he threw for strikes and a solid breaking ball he also commanded well.
Zach Hogueisson
OF - 2017 - El Cajon, CA
Kansas State/Central Arizona CC
The 6-4/185 Hogueisson has one of the most projectable position player builds in the class and is a smooth and graceful athlete. When he gets stronger, his left handed bat could really be an impact tool.
Joseph Perez
3B - 2017 - Pembroke Pines, FL
Miami
Perez is a primary third baseman for now and has big right handed power but his future may very well be on the mound. He has some effort in his delivery but was up to 96 mph on his fastball and flashed good feel and spin on his slider.
Dalton Wingo
OF - 2017 - Plant City, FL
University of Central Florida
Wingo has outstanding raw physical tools, including 6.58 speed in the sixty and a big outfield throwing arm. His hitting mechanics are still inconsistent but he has very fast hands at the plate and the ball comes off his barrel hard.
Matthew Golda
SS - 2017 - Bradenton, FL
Kentucky/Palm Beach State
Golda is one of the slickest fielders in the class and stands out with his quick feet and quick release at shortstop. He controls the barrel well at the plate and hits solid line drives.
Jonny Deluca
OF - 2017 - Agoura Hills, CA
Oregon
Deluca is a quick twitch switch-hitting outfielder with 6.65 speed and a cannon of an arm from the outfield. His left handed swing is ahead of his right handed swing at this moment but he has bat speed from both sides.
David LaManna
C - 2017 - Saddle River, NJ
Notre Dame
Lamanna comes from the school of slender and quick catchers, as opposed to the big and strong, and that quickness especially shows on defense in his shifting/blocking ability and his ability to get rid of the ball quickly. He has a sound right handed swing that will keep improving with additional strength.
Zach DeLoach
OF - 2017 - Lewisville, TX
Texas A&M
DeLoach's arm strength (89 off the mound and 93 from the outfield) and speed (6.7) are very solid athletic tools but his best tool might be his left handed power potential. The ball really comes off the barrel hard with plenty of natural lift in his swing.
Justin Cooke
C - 2017 - Norman, OK
Oklahoma
Switch-hitting catchers with some power are rare and valuable commodities and Cooke has a balanced set of offensive and defensive tools that should keep improving.
Kier Meredith
OF - 2017 - Winston-Salem, NC
Clemson
Meredith "only" ran a 6.3 sixty but his speed might be the most impactful in the class in games as he has an extremely quick first step and is likely the fastest player in the country when it comes to getting out of the box and stealing a base.
Bobby Miller
RHP - 2017 - McHenry, IL
Louisville
Miller has been a primary first baseman and is just converting to primary pitcher status but his raw arm strength and long and slender 6-5/190 build is impressive. He threw up to 93 mph from the mound 95 mph from first base during drills.
Will Hardigree
C - 2017 - Auburn, GA
University of North Georgia
Hardigree had the best set of drills of any catcher, popping a legit 1.78 and showing very good lower half quickness and footwork. He has a short and simple swing at the plate and consistently barreled up the ball.
Brendan Murphy
LHP - 2017 - Mundelein, IL
Arizona State
Murphy has a prototype 6-4/200 build and a very loose and projectable arm that produced a fastball up to 90 mph and a very nice change up. Physical maturity will take care of more velocity, improving his slider is the next step.
Conor Grady
RHP - 2017 - Tampa, FL
Florida State
Grady hasn't begun to physically mature and his 6-3/180 build is slender and young looking. But he's already up to 90 mph with a very smooth and loose arm along with a potential plus slider and will keep getting better as he gets stronger.
Buddy Kennedy
3B - 2017 - Millville, NJ
North Carolina
North Carolina is in a very interesting situation if they get both Kennedy and Ashton McGee to campus, as both are present strong infielders who can really hit the ball hard and could be college All-American types.
Garrett Blaylock
SS - 2017 - Asheville, NC
Georgia
Blaylock has prototype third base tools and smooth athletic actions both on defense and on offense. He sees the ball well at the plate and is very projectable as a left handed hitter.
Calvin Greenfield
C - 2017 - Jensen Beach, FL
Florida
An Illinois native, Greenfield has been compared to another Illinois catcher, Cooper Johnson, due to his high level defensive tools. Like Johnson, how much he shows with the bat will define his future prospect status.
Shane Muntz
RHP - 2017 - Phoenixville, PA
Wake Forest
Muntz is some kind of big at 6-4/240 and if anything he looks a bit bigger than that. He has understandably huge right handed power at the plate but his future might be on the mound. He threw up to 92 mph and showed good feel for a upper 70's curveball that had sharp biting action.
Cooper Swanson
SS - 2017 - Fort Myers, FL
Texas Tech
Swanson ran a 6.69 and threw 90+ from both the infield and outfield but what impressed the most was his right handed bat speed. The ball exploded off the barrel with a louder noise than most hitters generate.
Brady Smith
C - 2017 - Niceville, FL
Florida
Smith has only been catching for about a year after transitioning from the infield. His offensive potential at that position stands out and he's a gamer who should easily learn the skills required at the position.
Hunter Milligan
LHP - 2017 - Greenbrier, AR
Arkansas
Milligan had one of the best curveballs at the showcase, with a big deep break up to 76 mph and good feel for location and repeating his release point. He topped out at 90 mph and we've heard about more velocity for him at other events.
Ethan Gallagher
OF - 2017 - Catonsville, MD
Wake Forest
Gallagher has a first base/left field future but you won't find many hitters with a simpler swing or more strength at contact than the 6-1/215 right handed hitter.
Gustavo Rodriguez
OF - Free Agents - Santo Domingo, NC DOM
Rodriguez is an extremely tooled up 16 year old Dominican prospect who should be a major target for teams as the July 2 international signing date approaches. He has the build, athleticism and arm strength to be a high level right fielder.
Luis Cleto
OF - Free Agents - Santo Domingo, NC DOM
Clete doesn't have quite the raw tools as fellow Dominican Rodriguez but still has a pretty high ceiling and should be a prized sign on the international market. He has the big Dominican arm strength and lots of power potential at the plate.
Jesus Nunez
SS - Free Agents - Santo Domingo, NC DOM
Nunez is a prototypical young Dominican shortstop prospect with very quick hands on defense along with a big throwing arm across the diamond. He'll keep improving at the plate as he gets stronger and more physically mature.
Aaron Bracho
SS - Free Agents - El Tigrito, AN VEN
Bracho is only 15 years old but he competed well with the older top prospects and reminds us of fellow Venezuelan infielder Roughed Odor, who also competed at the National Showcase prior to signed as an International J2 prospect.
